A product review would normally involve the functionality of a product, but this application was so well suited to the Smart Controller that I didn't want to review it in any other way. Obviously I haven't had a chance to test how well it works in direct sunlight, but I was so amazed that it fit so very well and that it was so easy to slip over the controller that I was hooked from the get-go. Simply put, it's not enough I think it's going to be a big hit. It was easy to operate every single control even when the cover was down. In fact, it did not cover the edges of the touch screen at all and it did not cause interference with joysticks, buttons, or antenna movements in the least. It has rarely occurred to me that I have been so impressed with the manufacturing tolerances and flexibility of a product as I have been with this one.
Dji Smart Controller is small and easily fits in the hand. Despite the fact that all controls and ports are accessible, some parts of the screen are a little tight for people with wide hands. When the sun is shining, screen visibility is much improved. Soft and grippy silicone makes this glove a great choice for all-day wear. In addition to that, I don't have to worry about sweaty hands sliming the silicone, plus, it may protect against impact. It is something that I do not want to be without.
The sun does not block out this cover. You can still see well without it. HOWEVER, the top screen on your smart controller does not have a touch pad on it, so if you need to use it, it's a hassle.
I like this concept. I just think that the shade droops (since it's rubber) in the middle of the screen, making it difficult to see. A slippery feeling is also apparent, which I did not expect. In fact, I thought it would feel like a golf club with a good grip.
As far as the controller is concerned, I like it better without the hood because the hood just obstructs the view and makes it uncomfortable.
I remove it from the case and store it separately, and it always unfolds and forms nicely into place when reattached. This product would be best suited to use outside during the summer.
It has no value at all.
I recommend removing the control pegs first so that you can turn it on and off easily. This provides some shade for the screen without being too Until the neoprene has proven its strength, it is hard to say how well it will perform.
