One of my favorite airplanes was the Catalina, and this model has plenty of detail for the price. The base could be a bit stronger and wider, but for the price, it had some weight to it. Does not seem to hold up very well. Nevertheless, it really appeals to me.

The model is quite nice

My overall opinion is that the model is quite good. The bag isn't flimsy, it looks like a picture, and it has some good elements. I found the plain padded envelope in which the package arrived to be trash. However, it was protected by the plastic wrapping around the plane despite the box being ripped and battered. I was given it as a gift, which is frustrating. The plane survived however since it was packed well during production.

This model has a much higher quality than I thought it would with an aircraft of this size and price. I am very happy to have a model of one of my favorite aircraft of this quality.

The information I seek is exactly what I found here. An extremely well-designed model like this one would be an excellent addition to any home I made it. During the Second World War, my father operated this type of aircraft out of Reykjavik Iceland.

A model that is absolutely beautiful

It is a great model, as well as the Skytrain C47. I'm very pleased with the way this PBY is made and It is difficult for me to express how happy I am. As for the stand, it is made of light plastic, but it does hold the model together well, despite how heavy the plane is. Packaging was nice and the item arrived in perfect condition.

Despite its small size, it is surprisingly heavy

I was not expecting it to be smaller, but the sheer weight of the candle compensates It has a good quality feel to it because it is heavy.
