My personal recommendation would be to not use it as a toy for young children. Although the main body looks and feels relatively tough, the internal mechanisms for the sweep wings provide a weak feeling. The canards that are close to the nose pose the biggest threat to me. Thin and very small, they are very hard to spot. Those were easy to break, I could see. I would imagine that it would be durable enough for an older child/teenager, or for use as a display piece that will be moved and handled from time to time.
