Questions & Answers
If you're just looking for a hose, the answer is no. However, some suppliers, such as Chicago Airbrush, offer quick disconnect kits; I purchased all of mine separately. For various air tools, there is one female and several male ends. I have a Medea compressor that I use.br>Jim Pfister
It's a method of quickly disconnecting your airbrush from your compressor or other source of pressurized air. If you're painting a T-shirt, for example, This would be necessary if you had, say, five airbrushes in various colors that you needed to switch between quickly. Many of us are content with our lives even if we don't have it. BTW, it performs admirably, as do all Iwata products.
This is a single set. You'll need one set for each sprayer if you have multiple sprayers and only one cord. REMEMBER, THIS IS ONLY FOR A PARTICULAR SPRAYER, NOT FOR ALL IWATAS. It was the right size and fit for my Japanese Iwata - There are various connections.
Although an adapter could be used, my Paasche hose did not fit my Iwata.

I ordered this as a quick connect/disconnect for the hose, but it only came with one chrome part that had nothing to do with the hose, despite the fact that the label on the package stated otherwise. Returning it is not worth the effort, so be aware that you may not receive the item you expect.
These are not the male adapters that I was looking for to replace the quickfit sockets on my Iwata airbrush compressor. br>These only work on the airbrush end of the compressor, not the compressor end. br>br>I'm looking for the male adapter for my compressor, which has a QuickFit style coupler, but there's no listing on Amazon or the Iwata site. br>br>I've even called around to a few local stores to see if they have it or even know what it is. The adapter for the airbrush end is the only thing they have.
When I first saw this, I thought it was perfect; however, the first package contained nothing, and the second package contained something that was not even in their photo.
Iwata products are without a doubt the best, and this one works perfectly with my Iwata airbrush. If you're switching between airbrushes quickly, you'll need this. Rather than allowing acrylics or inks to dry in an airbrush, it is preferable to clean it as soon as possible. However, soaking them in a cleaner is always an option. That is, the needle and nozzle. Not the entire airbrush, mind you. An Air brush is a well-made tool that should be treated with respect.
After 7 months of use (1-year), I needed to replace mine. 30 minute sessions twice a week). They arrived in good working order and performed admirably for the first few months. I first noticed a light leak about a month ago, and it had grown to be quite loud. I thought these should have lasted longer because they were made by Iwata for Iwata. However, it's possible that I'm mistaken. This time, I'm going to go with one of the less expensive options to see how they hold up.
I initially purchased a generic brand from Amazon because it was less expensive, but it began to leak air as soon as I connected it. After returning that, I purchased an Iwata-branded unit, which works flawlessly with no leaks. Spend a few extra dollars and avoid a headache by purchasing this unit.
I bought this as a Christmas present, and now that we've unwrapped it and connected it, it's completely useless. The quick disconnect works fine, and all of the pieces are included in the package, but the tool does not function properly. It restricts the amount of air that reaches the airbrush to the point where the brush is rendered useless. I get the same weak air flow at 40psi as I did at 20psi when I crank up the psi on the compressor. br>br>I contacted the seller via Amazon and requested a replacement to see if I had received a defective item; after all, we live in a world of tolerances. Maybe it's a dud like mine. Please be cautious until then.
When I first received it, I mistook it for a defective item and began the return process. This was my fault because it works, but I had it connected incorrectly! Others have claimed that it does not last long, that it leaks or wears out quickly; I hope this is not the case! It appeals to me.
