Questions & Answers
This is, in fact, the proper color scheme.
It will, in fact. It is compatible with the Badger 105, 155, and 360 models.
To make this needle slide better, I had to sand it down. My copy arrived bent as well. This business did not impress me. I used a paper with an 800 grit. Although it works now, the lack of a finish allows paint to adhere to the needle more readily. I'm going to try polishing the needle with steel wool to see if it improves the performance.
This needle is extremely fine. In theory, priming should be done with a larger setup. For fine, detailed work, use this needle.

Because the tip of my previous needle had bent, this one was a perfect match. I own both a Badger Patriot Extreme and a standard Patriot. This needle kit is suitable for both. I usually keep one set up for large spray areas with a heavy needle and the other for fine details. This is the one that really stands out. I'm no longer able to mask many areas when painting. Although some masking is still necessary if you are truly meticulous, this needle has given me the confidence to go into some areas without masking. Because I spray acrylics, one disadvantage is that the paint dries quickly in the tip. This means I have to clean it on a regular basis, which is typical of acrylics. br>br>So crank up the volume, thin your paints, and get ready to be blown away by what the ultra-high-resolution camera can do. When it comes to airbrushing, a fine needle and tip can make a big difference.
I fell for the internet hype about this airbrush and bought it. When I disassembled my Patriot 105 and discovered the nozzle was stuck in the nozzle cap, it appeared as if it was welded in, I had to return it the same day. My first Patriot, as well as my replacement, were both giving me too little or too much paint. I changed the air pressure and began thinning my paints in different ways. I tried everything I could to get used to using the airbrush. When I used this conversion kit, everything changed. First and foremost, the Cap is far superior to the Patriot's original cap in terms of needle protection. In fact, the Patriot's original needle has been exposed. This conversion kit adds fine detail to your Patriot 105, effectively turning it into a badger Krome. Which, depending on your needs, isn't necessarily a bad thing. I was painting with the best of them in fine detail and under control. If you want to use your Patriot for priming, you can go back to the original needle.
For the past two years, I've been using the Badger 105 Patriot and Patriot Arrow on my 1/35th scale armor models. Both airbrushes are high-quality, dependable instruments that meet the majority of my requirements. On Don's Airbrush Tips [, I learned about this conversion kit. I use my Patriot Arrow, which has a smaller cup capacity, for detail painting and weathering, and I came across this. Using a 3 mm needle instead of a new airbrush allows you to do more precise detailing. I've used the needle twice and keep it permanently installed in my Patriot Arrow; it worked flawlessly and, due to its narrower taper, I found it to be more controllable than its predecessor. In comparison to its 50 mm cousin, the 50 mm cousin has a more defined spray pattern and avoids flow changes caused by needle taper changes. The only disadvantage is that the needle is fully exposed by the spray regulator, which means that if you get too close, it may come into contact with the model's surface. 41 is a Badger part number. The normal spray regulator, which encloses the needle head, is designated as part number 036. Currently, Amazon does not have that part listed. Its value and utility are enhanced by the fact that it is compatible with older Badger airbrushes like the 200 NH, the 155 Anthem, and its cousins the 360 and 3155. As a result, this kit is a simple and cost-effective way to extend the life of your current Badger 155 and its offshoots. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I haven't been able to locate a guarded spray reglator 4- This set has a number of 036 in it. This is a minor flaw that does not diminish the set's value or utility. Just keep your exposed needle tip from getting too close to the surface.
The badger airbrush has been greatly improved, and it has greatly aided in the creation of fine thin lines. In comparison to the fine tipped badger krome, I prefer to use a badger 105 with this needle, but that's just me. This is my viewpoint. However, because the needle's tip is exposed, caution is advised. br>br>Because proper paint thinning is so important, it may take some trial and error to find the right ratio for your project. This makes me very happy.
In comparison to the stock Blue tip (this one is a Black tip), I used this to give my Badger 105 Patriot a finer spray area. Very simple to swap out and well worth the $13 price tag. By increasing the pressure and backing up a little, you can easily push a wider pattern. They should have brought this with them.
According to other users with whom I've spoken, this is a widespread issue.
The first needle was bent/bowed in the middle when it arrived. I exchanged it for a new one. The second one arrived, and upon first inspection, the needle appeared to be in good condition. I stowed it away, intending to install it later. When I removed the tip protector from the needle, I discovered that the very tip was bent. This is one I'm not going to return. I'm going to have to blame it on a bad purchase and experience. I'll have to look for a needle somewhere else.
The Needle arrived with a bend in the middle, potentially rendering it useless. It took a long time for me to flatten it. It shouldn't have been necessary for me to attempt to repair it in the first place.
