I bought it both for my son, who is 12 years old. He has both the football and basketball version, and he finds the basketball one to be more difficult. Despite the fact that he enjoys playing it, it can be frustrating for him at times. Wishing you the best of luck!

Despite its age rating, this retro game is fun for kids as old as 8 and adults as well.

It was a gift, and I am unable to say for sure that it was Mattel's production. In spite of this, it works very well and our 9-year-old grandson loves it. Here's some information I hope is helpful.

Is there a difference between the 2 modes of play?

A single player game mode appears on page 1, while a two player game mode appears on page 2.

A wonderful modern-day version (2014) of the classic electronic game This is the 2014 version of a 2002 book, and I did not know it was a 2014 book Compared to the previous version, the 2014 version is much more enhanced with upgraded sounds and scores presented in a more effective manner

This is a solid and very well built piece of furniture. I believe it goes for about $15 if you can locate one. The feel of it is not cheap at all. I had a lot of childhood memories resurfaced with the electronics incorporated in the new game. The game is definitely recommended to those who want to take a stroll down memory lane of electronic games from the late 70's and early 80's. This is a wonderful purchase that you will not regret!.

There is an error in the product description I really think it is a "pass-" A “plug-and-play” experience Playable game for one or more players. By firing shots for both the home and away team, it can be played by one player, so we call that "1 Player" Playing this retro handheld game is still great fun thanks to its great sound, solid construction, and challenging gameplay.
