Questions & Answers

The description says the game is for kids 4 and up, but does anyone have experience with a 3 year old playing it? Is this something you want to get for your 3rd birthday?

Her sister, who was three at the time, was also afraid when it "popped" when she got this for her grandmother when she was 6 years old "I want to go across the room!" she exclaimed! Our daughter loves it after she turns 4 and we played it again shortly after her birthday. When he is full, it takes quite a bit of energy to put his hat down. According to me, it's at the child's discretion, and it's also about learning to count.

In the new (redesigned in 2013) version, do the pants have checkers or solids?

A solid pair of pants was included with the one I purchased this year.

Do I really have the new version? What do I need to do to ensure that this is it? Picture shows plain pants, but back of box has checkered pants, so how do we know that the picture really shows ?

Goliath pop the pig was one of the first foods I bought in the new year of It will not be the newest version, but I have seen a Goliath pop pig in a red box in 2013 that belonged to a man who bought it.

Can you tell me what the white burger on the die means?

The burgers I had did not have white patties

I bought this game for use with students for speech therapy, but it is just average at best
3/5

My dislike of it was based on several factors 1) The hamburgers are different colors in this game. It is good for teaching colors, but it does not make a lot of Perhaps rainbow candies or donuts or something else where rainbow colors make sense would make more sense if they wanted different colored pieces? 2) What is more unnatural is that once the hamburger has been put in his mouth, it drops down directly into his stomach. Something seems out of place and unnatural here. What is the likelihood that we ever push someone's head down in the real world? In my opinion, this step is not necessary and is a distraction. When all of the hamburgers have been eaten (and you have pumped according to the amount each hamburger told you to pump), the game is supposed to "pop". In this way, none of the "surprise" moments arise when it pops.
4) It's rather anticlimatic when the actual popping occurs. The sleeves and the top of his shirt rise slightly, but not in a Some students have missed the pop basically because they blinked or briefly looked away, and when they see the pig afterwards, they can't really tell that anything went wrong. Although I found a few problems with it, I did take advantage of it for one week, and some of my students enjoyed it as well. Some found the finish to be lacking in quality. It is possible to find better games that are more natural and provide a dramatic ending. A similar concept is used in Pop Up Pirate, but you have to poke swords into a barrel to make the pirate appear (makes sense in real life), and the results are completely random. This is true of jumping jacks as well. It is a matter of pulling carrots out of the bag to see when the rabbit jumps. In summary, I believe that Pop the Pig had potential, but a lackluster presentation and too many distracting features make me rate it as a thumbs down.

I was introduced to this game by an occupational therapist and just had to have it! About a few months before his 4th birthday, my son will be Besides seeing a speech therapist for his language disorder, he also sees an occupational therapist for sensory needs and communication with others (which obviously goes hand in hand with his There is a problem with his ability to stay on task once frustrated, as well as with taking turns

Before he was allowed to play games, we saw his OT every week for months. A short time has been spent on this game every week for the past month. I am only familiar with our OT's presentation of the various ways to play I was not reading about the varying ways to play. principle of this game is that you feed him food, you pump his head five times if it has the number 5, three pumps if it has the number 3, etc. Each time you pump his head, his belly expands until finally, his belt pops open! She had just one goal for the first week getting him to eat the "food". It's great fine motor practice and a learning experience for patience since the task is not easy for him at the beginning. She asked him to name the number the next week and then put in the food. As she pumped the pig's head the amount of times required, he was more likely to succeed. His difficulties here are somewhat exasperating, but I am not sure how they would be for other children.
In the last two weeks, she has been in charge of taking turns and asking for particular My child was so proud of every one of these accomplishments--even if it seems so simple to you. It was possible to expand the game. This is the best part of his day when the The Pop The Pig game was a part of every weekday morning at home as my son checked her game closet. I recently ordered it from Amazon after putting it on my Amazon wish list after the second week. I received it today. As a Christmas gift, I will give it to you. As a five year old, I can see my brother enjoying this game with her, and my 11 year old son will join in with his younger siblings when they play. My view is that this game has tremendous value, both for children with typical needs and for those who have more advanced.

Popper is such a sad character
3/5

Despite liking this game, I am frustrated by how many design flaws it still has. Upon purchasing the updated version, I had hoped it would be more durable and "pop" better, but it wasn't. I used the arms for about a month while it was working and after that, the arms became lax and the pig doesn't pop For kids, it can be incredibly frustrating. As a therapy tool, I've tried this before, but it doesn't last as long as I'd like. If it were priced higher, it should have a much stronger construction and last.

loved it and made it a favorite Christmas dish for all members of the As a Christmas gift, we purchased a bicycle for our granddaughter, age 4
5/5

The first piece of wrapping paper was ripped by her as she bouncing and saying I wanted it so badly. The information was not known to me. My parents had just confirmed she did not have it when I spoke with them. My parents had informed her that she had seen a lot of commercials for it. In the same way I buy most gifts based on reviews, I purchased this one as well. thanks to all the members of her family who took the time to play with her. ) Her dad told her it's a nightly ritual now, and everyone plays that game on Christmas. I thought it was funny that she changed the rules, now the winner is whoever gets his tummy to pop. Everyone is sucked in by her pig every time someone feeds it. It's contagious and she has people hooked on it. The pieces you have are beautiful, but I wish you could get more of them. While she has not lost any, we had 2 times when the pig needed more food, so no winner or pop. There is no place where I can buy them online. One of the only negatives I can think of is if they offered additional food at a higher price. There was an issue with all the pieces and it is inevitable that all children will lose a piece or two over time on this kind of game. Nevertheless, we highly recommend it, it was a hit at Christmas.

I enjoyed playing this Despite the fact that the suggested age for using this is 4 years old and higher, I bought it for my 3 year old
5/5

Despite his lack of experience, he was able to play it. Getting the hang of things was no problem for him, he understood directions It seems as if you get several small pieces (burgers), so I can see how this might be dangerous to This is a fun game and provides a good deal of The recommendation for little ones is highly recommended.
