Compared to what I expected, she was incredibly enthusiastic about it. Despite the fact that the item is pink and adorable in style, its weight and quality made it seem like something she could use in a more grown-up way. Whenever she saw the twirling sugar plum fairy, she was in awe. Wrapping it up was easy because it came in a sturdy pink box. The durability area has not yet been tested, but I see no reason why it wouldn't easily last for years. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

The first jewelry box had a problem with the box's music. I turned the knob all the way up and down, but the fairy would only spin for two seconds before stopping. In the meantime, I got a replacement and the music box was fine but the wood piece between the drawers was damaged. Because there were some tears in it and the drawers were mixed up, I wonder if this was someone else's return. When I tried to exchange it again, I was forced to get a refund due to the fact that an item could only be exchanged once. I'm unsure if I will order the item again, but my daughter really admired and gave this jewelry box a lot of thought.

The more economical option for me was to not spend much since I know she will be rough with it (she's not an extremely sensitive child). I'm not at all sure if it will survive this misuse, but it is much nicer than I expected from this box. The design is adorable. The price is reasonable.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my 6 year old daughter's necklaces fit in the door area (although they're long enough to rest on the bottom of the compartment) and her bracelets fit in the drawers, despite being large and bulky. Objects smaller than the top can be put on the top. It is very pleasing to listen to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy tune, and does not sound as tinny as some music boxes.

It bugs me that there is a key note missing from the Nutcracker tune. There's no way to find out if this is how all of them are or only ours. My daughter didn't even notice it, so I did not return it.
