It was purchased for my five-year-old granddaughter, who adores it. For a ten-year-old, I believe it is appropriate. I'm thinking she could use this one for jewelry for her American Girl dolls when she needs a bigger one: ) I hope my remarks are of assistance:
Lord, please help me.
Only one jewelry box was available. It was extremely popular with my granddaughter.
In fact, it's quite endearing. It isn't in the least bit unattractive. When we opened it up, I thought I'd made a mistake, but it's really cute, and my granddaughter loves it.

It will be a hit with her. Very cute and of a good size! It's one of the less expensive mdf boxes, and it's not painted; instead, it's covered in a kind of sticker/wall paper, but it should last my daughter a few years until I can afford to buy her a better box! br>br>***** I've had this box for six months and my daughter absolutely loves it! My daughter uses it almost every day because it's sturdy and adorable.
I searched high and low for a real wood jewelry box in this style but was unable to locate one. I knew it was going to be cardboard-y when I bought it. It is. However, for the price, it is fairly durable. br>br>I was fine with it at first, but now I'm annoyed because the ballerina broke after only a week. I'll try to get it back to you. I'll update my review if the replacement breaks as well. br>br>The necklace section is also held closed by a magnet. This is yet another inconvenient oversight, as it catches my daughter's necklaces as she inserts them.
I'm really looking forward to giving it to my 6-year-old granddaughter. She is going to adore it! I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the jewelry box, which was slightly larger than I had anticipated. The necklace hanger appears to be quite sturdy, and it will come in handy for keeping her necklaces from tangling. The box is made of heavy duty cardboard. The design on the box is very well done, subtle rather than brightly colored as I had anticipated, and it gives it a very elegant appearance. I'm looking forward to seeing her take it out of the box.
On Christmas morning, my granddaughter had a lot of presents to open, and most of them were quickly put away to be played with later. This one, on the other hand, drew her in and she had to investigate it thoroughly, opening all of the drawers, watching the unicorn spin around, and winding it to keep the music playing. I had to remind her a few times not to overdo it. She's been winding it for a while now, and so far she's been careful. She reloaded the drawers with small gifts she'd received in her stocking several times on Christmas Day. She expressed her excitement at the prospect of returning home and filling it with all of her prized possessions. It's not the most durable box, as it appears to be made of balsa wood with the design laminated on top, but it'll suffice for a 4-year-old who will outgrow it.
This jewelry box was purchased for my niece to store her jewelry in. I'm not sure where she kept her jewelry before, but this is her first and she absolutely adores it. It's incredibly adorable. It has a hook for her necklaces and drawers for her rings, as well as music with a dancing ballerina. It reminds me of my first jewelry box, which had a music box that played with a little ballerina twirling when you opened the top and wound it up. It's wonderful to be able to tell her about that experience.
It was a good idea. The pressed cardboard construction is heavier than you'd think, and the graphics are bright; it was packaged and delivered in perfect condition and on time. Because of the graphics of a castle and princesses, I'd call this the princess version, but the music is from the Nutcracker, and the twirling doll inside is a strange-looking fairy. The fairy's skinny outstretched arms and wand will need to be glued back together before long, so I gave it a three for sturdiness.
The jewelry box is beautiful. I especially like that there is a spot for necklaces to be hung. It isn't made of wood. br>br> Instead, it's a thick piece of cardboard or another pressed material. There were no solid wood jewelry boxes with a cute painted design and a necklace hanger that I could find. There's plenty of room for kid's jewelry in this case. This appears to be a reasonable compromise. br>br>I would recommend it, but it is unlikely to last a child's entire childhood.
When we first opened it, it was completely broken. My daughter loved it, even though the little ballerina inside didn't make the music box play or twirl when we got it because it was broken. It worked if you pressed down on the inside lining. It's poorly put together and made, but it's visually appealing. I couldn't return it because she wouldn't let me, so I just left it. I was becoming increasingly irritated.
