On May 31, 2011 we purchased three packs. It's absolutely ridiculous how many duplicates, triplicates, and quadruplicates there are in every box. Several copies and triplicates were in one pack. It had 2 sets of 4 as well as several copies.
The Pokemon starter set in this box is also a good choice for a beginner, because it features a variety of A pokemon card binder and a badge holder

I thought I had two cards, but it was actually 28 You should definitely let your child know if she wants 6 of the same thing! You can feel the thrill of seeing the same card over and over again when you look through the stack of 50 cards. The additional cards I get are barely worth a half of what you think you are getting. I am hesitant to waste more money on them.
Assorted is a relative term and should be used with caution. There were around 20 rare pokemons and 20 common pokemons (both common) in the item and the remaining 10 were also very rare. My son was disappointed when we received SO MANY duplicates. We expected some duplicates, but how many we received was a major disappointment. A minor caveat would be to either include a statement that this is probably how most people experience it or to send a photo of the product that shows something more accurate.
