There is one thing that should be noted - this is predominantly a display piece. It is mostly the heads and tails of dinos that are articulating. Sadly, the legs are attached to the bases and can't move, so if you want to pose them in a heroic fight, that's out of the question. In addition, I will point out that the box arrived in perfect condition, but that's a very moot point, because these reviews are supposed to be about the product, not how Amazon ships it.

It's a challenging set, but a great one

This set was purchased for our 8 year old daughter. Is totally in love with While he made mistakes or couldn't figure out how certain pieces ( or pieces) fit together in a few places, with some help he managed to complete it all in three I think the majority of the pieces in this set are very small, which is the reason for the high age range. There are some that are harder to snap together than others and younger kids may find it more challenging to assemble. Rather than being a toy, this set is really meant for display. The Lego sets are not meant to be taken apart continually like most Lego sets. In spite of this, it comes with a mini figure of an archeologist that comes with a magnifying glass, mini tools, extra bones, a dinosaur egg, and a book, so the imagination can still run a little wild with it. There is a slight movement in the head, neck, and tail of the Dino, making it possible for you to move them in different directions. A great Lego / dino set to please a fan of both.

He enjoyed it to the fullest. During a span of 6 hours, with small breaks along the way, my son was able to complete this entire kit. You should buy a Lego baseplate to go with it, since it's super cute. Several gray 10" by 15" ones are available on Amazon for a very reasonable price. It really turned this set of four boned structures, a mini figure, and a tool chest into a wonderful The cutest thing ever.

It was an enjoyable challenge for him and he really enjoyed building it. This process isn't easy for him, but he enjoys it. A great feature of the display stand is also its stability.
