It would be possible to use Lego Duplo blocks for this. Mega blocks could be “compatible” but they do not fit 100%.

This is identical to every other 32 by 32 lego baseplate I've ever owned, and it looks exactly the same as it did 20 years ago. Because it's still fresh from the factory, the plastic may be even stronger. br>br>For anyone who has never purchased a Lego base plate before, here are some things to keep in mind: br>br>A) It's extremely thin and flat. This is because it's designed to be placed on a tabletop (or the floor if you're willing to risk stepping on a lego). It's not supposed to be stiff enough to stand on its own. br>br>B) No legos can be attached to the bottom. Once again, this is to ensure that it sits as flat and thinly as possible on your table top. It's supposed to be a "base," as in "base" - plate. The term "base" refers to the lowest point of something. br>br>C) It will be 32 studs long and 32 studs wide (yes, it will be a square). br>br>D) I'd advise keeping white lego pieces out of direct sunlight because they will turn yellow if exposed to it for long periods of time. br>br>E) If you're not sure what size you need, I recommend going to the store and trying on a pair. If you can't be bothered to look at the dimensions before you buy it, you're on your own. Neither the seller nor Lego are responsible for this. br>br>F) This is related to the previous point; it is advertised as being 10 by 10 by 0. 12 inches in length That is a decimal that indicates the thickness. There are so many positive reviews that it was advertised as being 10 by 12 inches, but don't blame the seller because you can't do math. br>br>A decimal example: Because he could read decimals, Johnny received a 29 on the ACT, while Jimmy received a 2. He received a 9 out of 30 on the ACT because he is unable to read decimals. br> That's a tenth of Johnny's total. br>br>G) It's just a toy; I hope you boomers enjoy it, and keep in mind that Megabloks are blasphemy.
The space is insufficient. I was under the impression that I was ordering a duplo LEGO board, and I was very disappointed. This is what I get when I search for duplo? In addition, the size is incorrectly represented. It's a true 10x10 situation. Not 10- x12 As stated in the specification. The image of the boy holding the board only adds to the perplexity. It's a teeny-tiny little thing.
The 'baseplate' we had from product 11717 Lego classic is much stronger, with structural ribs underneath and a thickness that matches the rest of the lego, so I initially mistook this for a knockoff. After doing some research, it appears that this is an official Lego baseplate; perhaps this design was created to keep costs low. or perhaps it just needs to be more flexible so that any top pieces can be bent out of the way? In any case, I had hoped for a more durable baseplate.
On the inside of a binder cover and on the back of this baseplate, I used adhesive velcro dots. Then I stuffed some LEGOS into a zippered pencil pouch that I could store in the binder.
I'm overjoyed that they've finally released white that isn't part of a set.
The color was the main reason we bought it. I'm not sure why the other colors are priced at $5 each. This one costs $8 and the other costs $00. 00? The quality is comparable to other colors, but one advantage of this one is that you can see the colors for what they are when sorting your pieces, unless they are all white, lol. For this purpose, it is more appealing to the eye than other base plates.
Nobody should buy knockoffs because they simply do not fit, and I'm not sure why they have such high ratings. Maybe it's because they got it for such a low price that they don't want to complain about their poor purchasing choices! Or perhaps they gave them away as gifts and simply fudged their reviews to get a few more thumbs up. Don't be fooled by the phony base plates; they're complete garbage, and you get what you pay for. Authentic LEGO is the way to go! On each bump, you'll find nice "LEGO" words, and all of your bricks will connect smoothly and securely. (note: I'm not being compensated for this review; I'm simply advising all parents to stick to genuine Lego only. ).
