Unless you have other blocks to bolster this set, I would say this is appropriate for one child age 2 to 5. As a mother of an almost two and five year old, I am very busy. I know I should keep an eye on both of them to make sure the pieces do not get into their mouths since this small set is so attractive. Also, since the pieces are so small, there is less cooperation between them to build something together. The pieces don't present a major concern for me, but I am a bit concerned about them being able to choke on the small pieces. There is another set of wooden furniture with see-through pieces I am awaiting You can also add colored pieces to mix in with them. There seemed to be some mismatched pieces at times. It is likely that some of these bridge pieces are taller than others.

It may be a choking hazard for toddlers due to the small size of the blocks. As there are so many pieces in a set, it can be difficult to put them together. Structures smaller than 100 square meters seem to be okay.

As far as I was concerned, I assumed they were the giant ones because I didn't pay attention to their sizes. The fact that they were smaller, but in their cost-to-size ratio, would have discouraged me from making the purchase, but they have already been given to my daughter so there is no need to return them.

I thought they'd be bigger, but they were so small! Sorry for the disappointment. A picture that misleads. This item comes in a box that is two inches thick.
