Yes, they're fantastic! They have a nice tactile feel to them and stick together easily, so you won't be too frustrated if you fall. There are no sharp edges here, either. I gave them to her for her first birthday (to grow into) and she still uses them. Good luck to you, whether you're a boy or a girl!

This was a Christmas present for my 5-year-old son. Not only did he play with it for a long time, but so did my husband, and I began to create things, and then my other two boys (6 and 11) joined in. It's addictive; they've tried other things to keep themselves occupied, but they always return to the bristle blocks. Sturdy and long-lasting- I made a helicopter, flowers, and other things; the possibilities are endless. For birthdays, I'm thinking about adding to this set.
