Battat Bristle Block 113 was one of the items I purchased. For my grandson, I bought a three-piece set. He received it right away. I'm not sure if there was a latch on the carrying case. I purchased three different sets, and my daughter assembled them in a container she purchased. The Bristle Blocks are a big hit with my grandson.

YET, IT'S APPROVED FOR AGE 2 AND UP. BEWARE! USELESS CASE IN A CRAPPY CONDITION! The toy is rated for children aged 2 and up, but the clips fall out of the box, rendering it useless, and the clips are small and choking hazards, as are the round "wheel" type blocks. They are much smaller than the opening of a toilet paper tube. This is appropriate for children aged 3 and up. My older granddaughter enjoys them, and I was hoping that she and her younger sister could share them. I had to take out all of the small pieces and put them away so her sister wouldn't eat them (I caught her putting one in her mouth, which prompted me to double-check the round ones' sizes). This is a terrifying situation! In addition, because the box is useless, I'll have to go out and spend more money on a container. I'm not happy because the container was one of the reasons I bought this set in the first place. This would be a fantastic product if it were properly rated and the container was usable.
The storage box is notorious for arriving without its locking clips (read the questions, not the reviews for more information; I didn't read the questions and ordered it twice like an idiot just for clips), and when you do get the clips, they are flimsy, fail, and get lost; the toy itself is as described, but I don't recommend this set. Apart from the clips, the storage case is flimsy, and the wheels for the vehicle in this set aren't precisely made, so if you make a car, even taking care to attach precisely lined up on each side (something a toddler/small child can't do), the car won't roll. The animals add a nice touch. In case you're curious, I chose a different set.
For the amount of bristle blocks you receive, this is a fantastic deal. We already had a few standard ones and decided to purchase more so that we could construct larger structures. I like that this set includes some circular blocks that can twist and turn, adding to the imaginative play! br>br>Our other set has a screw top lid, and they don't always fit all of them in, but this container has plenty of room! The only minor annoyance is that the tabs you slide open and close aren't fixed. Each time you open it, they slide completely off, which is a little annoying because they can get lost in the bristle block mix. I'm not sure if mine was defective or if this is how all of them arrive. I emailed the seller, and we came up with a solution together. The vendor is fantastic! I'll find a new case for the blocks so that my daughter can carry them around with her.
It's a hit with the grandchildren. However, I chose this set because of the case, only to discover that there is only one latch to keep it closed (as shown in the photo), and that latch slides off/on and is easily misplaced. It would have been better if the latch had been permanently attached.
I really like these blocks, and the size of this set on Amazon was a great deal. The case's clasps, on the other hand, are of poor quality. Because the first set I ordered lacked a clasp on the case (red), Amazon sent me a replacement. Because the second set was also missing a clasp, I used the clasp from the second to complete the first. They're also prone to slipping off! Carrying the case has resulted in numerous spills for my poor grandchildren. So, while we adore the blocks and the set as a whole, the case is practically useless. However, Amazon customer service was fantastic in assisting me in resolving the issue!.
It's simply Super Constructor, which is ideal for children. The items in it are safe; there are no small parts, and they have been streamlined so that nothing will fall off or flake if the child puts them in his or her mouth. It would be a fantasy to have so many building options. It is, of course, costly, but the cost is justified by the quality. Very well developed motor skills, imagination, and it appears to me that an adult is getting involved in a set of many different parts, which still has wheels that can be used to build a super car.
Because of the box, I purchased this configuration. The blocks are attractive and well-made. Furthermore, the latch that we did receive is easily detachable and poses a choking hazard. br> If these flaws were not present, the set would be excellent, earning 5 stars.
