  Unicorns are, without a doubt, a big hit with my daughter. I went with the smallest size, which she seems to like. We were able to move around on the carpet despite the fact that she is 3 and wears a size 5/6. She was able to take small steps without tripping over the wheels by herself. If your child is already a skater, the wheels can be loosened, but they worked perfectly for us right out of the box. I used to roller skate, and my wheels were plastic when I was younger, but these are the real deal. These are a hybrid 82a that can be used for both indoor and outdoor skating. However, keep in mind that the asphalt will have Little Rocks that will make skating difficult. I like how much ankle support there is, but I would recommend closing the velcro before tying the laces because the laces will get stuck and ruin them. The only disadvantage of these skates is the toe stopper. They're made of hard plastic, but since she's just learning to skate, we won't be too concerned about them. When we're ready, we can swap them out for some that aren't as expensive to find. However, as an adult skater, my expectations for children's skates are extremely high. As a result, I would still give it five stars. I'm confident we won't need to replace the toe stopper for quite some time, and because it's made of hard plastic, it won't wear out as quickly. Size up! They're adorable, but they're a little on the small side. Because my 5-year-old daughter wears a size 13, I ordered the Medium (13-). 3y), and in order to fit and be comfortable, we had to extend the skates to their maximum length. These are only going to last a year or so.

My daughter was giddy with anticipation when she received these. They appeared to be well-made and had a good look to them. One of the wheels came off after 30 minutes of use at the skating rink. The nut that holds the wheel in place has come loose, as shown in the photo. We couldn't locate it, so the skate is now rendered useless until I can locate a replacement nut. I could have given this a five-star rating if I had double-checked the nuts on the wheels before using them, but I don't believe I should have had to. This appeared to be a flaw in the quality assurance department.

Simply press and pull on the button. Near the toes, there are a few small vents. It appears to go under the sole, so it should allow for plenty of airflow! br>They appear to glide across our tile floors with ease. I'm looking forward to taking these to the roller rink! The wheels have little lights that light up as they roll across, which is the best part!.

- Keep in mind that skates are a little on the small side. br>br>- They are stable in the ankles, which is fantastic to begin with (please keep in mind that these skates are only for beginners). br>br>- The wheels are 85A, so they're good for outside as long as there aren't any big cracks, and the wheels are small enough for the kids to feel safe, and they're not too high up on the ground, so any speed they pick up will be harmless. br>br>- The skates had a bad fumes smell out of the box, so I took them to my window and let them air out for the night, which solved the problem. br>br>- I had some issues with the lacing, nothing too difficult, but it was definitely difficult. br>br>- The wheels lit up and stayed lit, but one of them only turned on one color, which was a cosmetic issue.

- Because these are only beginner skates, I don't recommend changing the wheels.

The size runs true to size. My daughter is eight years old and wears a size 13 and 1 shoe (depending on the type of shoe), so I bought her a medium (13-1). 3Y) for this pair of roller skates, and it's a perfect fit. She's on the smallest size and only needs three more clicks to reach the largest size; the materials are excellent and the construction is solid.
