Reviewed with changes: So I figured out how to get the wheels loose. I'm not sure if this is covered by the paperwork, but it does come with two hex nut wrenches. The second one, I assumed, was included in case you misplaced the first. Wrong. They're included to hold one side of the axle/nut while you adjust the other, and I'm glad I finally got it because my husband was about to try some drastic measures to remove it, and I was there to witness it. To maintain, I can now tighten or remove the entire nut. br>br>The bearings are fine, but they don't light up as well as they used to on the previously tightened wheels. It isn't a big deal as long as the wheels are in good working order. I'm hoping they don't go bad anytime soon, but if they do, I'm confident I'll be able to replace them. br>br>Now that the wheels are rolling properly, my daughter is no longer afraid to skate. In terms of my recommendation, now that I know how to adjust the hex nuts, I'm confident in buying more for my other nieces and nephews when they're ready. Because the bearings have been damaged in several places, the wheels either do not roll or only roll for a few seconds. That is extremely dangerous. I would give these skates five stars if the wheels could be removed. They're really cute, and the extender actually works, so two stars for that. Unfortunately, because I tried the skates out too late, I missed the return window. br>br>I would have bought more for my nieces and nephews if I had known that their skates would have this problem. I bought one pair for one of my nieces from a different company, and she loves them.   My daughter has wanted roller skates for a long time, but we haven't been able to find her size in the area. I came across these while searching on this site. What I like about these roller skates is that they not only fit her right now, but they will also grow with her. She's in a one-bedroom apartment right now. 5/2 depending on the shoe, and these are roomy enough for her. She wears thick socks with these because they are a little loose, but they fit her well and stay on her feet when she is outside. The strap around her top of her ankle keeps her foot from lifting too much, and the strap around her leg keeps these from slipping or moving around too much. To adjust these, you press a button on the outer part of each skate, which extends the shoe part, allowing her to move forward. This means that as her feet grow, she will still be able to fit in these roller skates, and we won't have to go out and buy a new pair. The wheels do light up, but they must be moved constantly to remain lit. She doesn't mind because the longer she skates, the brighter they become. The stopper on these is extremely thick and effectively slows or stops her. This is a fantastic pair of skates.

She claimed there was something sharp in one of them. A screw was jabbing through the liner and into the bottom of her heel when I felt it at the bottom. So we took it out and couldn't figure out whether it had been left loose and fallen out or if it was an extra that had slipped in. We removed other skate linings and discovered that they all had the same loose screw. That one's photos were taken by me. It was off to the side and didn't cause her any discomfort. So we removed the extra screws because it already had one installed in that area that matched it and didn't appear to be necessary. Wherever these are made, there is a serious lack of quality control. Skates are still adorable, and I like that she can grow into them. Just make sure there aren't any loose screws before letting your child step on them!.

This pair of roller skates is fantastic! My daughter has been wearing them for about a week and is getting the hang of it! The wheels begin to glow, but only in a subdued manner. These are more appealing to me than the Minnie Mouse pair I purchased for my younger daughter. They're less difficult to put on and appear more relaxed. I will update my review if anything changes. So far, they've been fantastic!.

The wheels appear to be very smooth in motion and have a strong support structure. The padding is excellent, and the base is extremely rigid.

They're a good place to start if you're new to the game. It was purchased for my 6-year-old son. It's a medium big size; it's a little big, but we can adjust it to fit. She claims she is at ease in them. They appear to be durable and sparkly, making them suitable for children.
