It didn't do anything to protect my hip joint

I found the size large to be too small/tight for me. There is far too much open space that needs to be protected. My hip wasn't protected because the padding wasn't in the right place. Large areas were left unprotected due to a lack of space between panels. Also, I don't think the checkered small pads are a good idea; you could easily get pounded between them.
