(I'm repairing an old bike so I can teach my toddler how to ride before I buy him a new one. ) I prefer these to the ones that came standard with the bike. They have these bumps on the edges that help my younger son's shoes from slipping off when learning to pedal, which is especially important for him as he learns to ride a bike. They also appear to be quite durable!.
These pedals are for a 12 inch bike, not a 16 or 18 inch bike as stated in the description. I have both and was trying to replace my 16in with them, but they are half the size, and while they are well made, they will not replace the pedals I purchased them for.
It took me less than 5 minutes to complete.
These were purchased to replace the pedals on my 7-year-old daughter's bicycle. year- They lasted less than two months of light riding around the block on an old's secondhand bike.
It was fine once I screwed the first two lines by hand and finished with a wrench; the pedal is smaller than the original, but it doesn't bother my daughter. Her shoe size is 13 and she wears a size 13 in her shoes. Note: There is a Legal System in Place They're labeled on the left pedal. Time will tell how long it lasts. Daughter rode the bike for three miles on a bike trail and rides it at home on occasion; so far, so good.
5 inches. Definitely a step up from the bike's original pedals.
The pedal platforms are also small, as shown in the photos, to accommodate small feet.
According to the pedal, it is 1/2" in length. Because the item is much smaller than a standard crank arm, it will not fit. Furthermore, there is a significant amount of play in the left pedal spindle, raising concerns about durability. Finally, because the bearings are exposed, dirt, dust, and other debris can easily enter the pedal and ruin it.
