The thumb mechanism allows you to enjoy the scenery without having to look down while also alerting oncoming traffic that you are riding on the sidewalk illegally. They turn you off with a flick of the thumb, but you don't mind because that lovely chime soothes your nerves. It has a swanky appearance and a heavenly ring to it. When no one is around, my wife will ring it just for the joy of it. When she's angry with me, I tell her to go to the garage and ring that pink bell as if she's summoning the angels. She reappears with a less blue face and an unclenched fist, as if by magic. This magical product comes highly recommended from me.
The best of the old school! Oh man. This child is exactly what I've been looking for. It's about a $5 savings if you get the light blue. It's zip-tied to the big ol' thick handle bars on my Pride Traveler pro mobility scooter. One of the clamp's sides should be zipped up. Then zip the other side (with the trigger raised so I can pull down with my forefinger) My favorite part is creeping up on people slowly. I'm also a bit sluggish. When it's time to ring it, that's when you should do it. When people are walking, they have a tendency to become alarmed and believe that a bike is approaching them. and a panicked feeling as they try to figure out whether to jump or pull their loved one out of harm's way. I was only 10 feet behind, but I scared three of the four groups of people I approached. As a result, I've decided to go with 20. Now there is a 30-foot clearance. Despite the fact that passing them will take ten minutes. lol.
These were purchased in pairs for the grandchildren. The bell could be attached to both the four-year-old's scooter and the two-year-old's trike. Because the handlebar grips don't leave enough space between them, we had to mount the scooter sideways on the vertical bar, but it still works fine. This bell is sturdy, heavy, metal, and well-made, and it should last a lifetime. It jingles like a traditional bicycle bell. I was worried that the two-year-old wouldn't be able to hear it, but it pushes easily to make the ring, and she had no problems with it. It's a nice, pleasant, fairly loud bell that's more than enough to alert someone of your presence while also delighting a child who rings it just for the fun of it. It took only a few seconds to mount it with a Phillips-head screwdriver. screwdriver with a flat head It's also simple to remove if you want to use it on another bike, and because of the way it's made, it can accommodate some minor differences in handlebar thickness. It'd also work well as an adult bike.
The bell and clamp are made entirely of metal. The thumb lever is made of a thick black plastic. On the bike path, this is useful for letting others know you're there. The vanilla color goes great with my Huffy Nel Lusso cruiser!.
This old-fashioned bell is wonderful. It's exactly the sound I was looking for to warn people on the bike path that I'm approaching. I wish the bell fit a standard hybrid bike handlebar width and had padding that didn't scratch the bike (I have a matte-colored bike), but it doesn't. I ended up going to the hardware store for a longer screw and ended up using a piece of an old tube to avoid scratching my handlebar with metal on metal. This took care of everything.
Ok, so. It's a high-end bell. When I ride over bumps, it doesn't shake or ring. It reminds me of the old school bicycle bell. It's fine if you just want me to ring it for a few seconds. I don't need to go all the way up to the top of the level. This is useful if you simply want to let people know you're nearby. It's a little larger than I expected. I wish it was a little smaller but still of good quality, but I suppose this is the size of old-school bicycle bells. Even so, I gave it 5 stars because it was simple to put on and it was of good quality.
This traditional bicycle bell comes with everything you need for your bike or scooter. It has a pleasant quality to it, as well as a substantial JING JING sound. Any bike or scooter, regardless of age, can be used. It's available in a variety of colors to give your bike or scooter a unique look. With the use of a screw driver, it is simple to attach to your bike. I also discovered that buying on Amazon was less expensive than buying at Walmart, where they only had one similar to this bell at a much higher price.
This bell's construction appears to be adequate, and it produces a loud, clear ring. br>br>However, it wasn't until after it arrived that I realized it was a left-handed item. (That is, it is not ergonomically designed to be used on the right handlebar). It's not a deal breaker for everyone, but I prefer to use my right hand and will be returning it. br>br>The red color is also not what it appears to be; It appears to be a bright, metallic red in the photo. The bell I got was a flat, darker red color with no shimmer. Just a heads up for those who want to match their bike's color.
