Questions & Answers
Training wheels are included in this product. The only complaint I had with this product was that the assembly instructions were sparse and unhelpful, and that the front wheel bracket/mount onto the tire was extremely tight and difficult to insert.
Almost all bikes have training wheels that can be removed.
I'm sorry to hear that the seat isn't going to stay. The best thing to do is to purchase a lock tight washer with grooves from a local hardware store and place one or two inside the bolt (they cost about ). 25c. That is the simplest and least expensive option. indiscriminate
Don't go to Walmart because you have no idea what a tank heavy bike is. This is a sturdy, durable bike that isn't too heavy. I hope this clarified things for you.

I bought this for my 5-year-old's birthday, and it was a waste of money. He was ecstatic, but when we tried to put it all together, the front wheel wouldn't fit. Not by a long shot! This appears to be a known issue, but it has been buried at the bottom of the review board. To get a refund, I had to repackage and return the entire bike, which is a known issue that both the manufacturer and Amazon are allowing to continue.
For my 4-year-old daughter, I decided to take a chance on this bike. year- After reading some mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try (mine did not have the front wheel issue described by others). ) Make no mistake about it: This thing is a disaster right out of the box. Take a hard pass if you don't have any mechanical comfort. The bones, on the other hand, are not bad; it's as if when they were putting it together, they handed wrenches to some people who had never ridden a bike and told them to "tighten everything up as much as you can. " " That's a great idea for building a deck, but not so much for putting together a bike. 1 to all those who described super-fast assembly. Wheel bearings that are too tight Mine were almost impossible to spin because they were so tight, and if I put them on as-is, they wouldn't spin at all. is that they'd be worn out in a month's time. When I moved the fork, it creaked and grinded. My boy's chain was also so well-trained that I was afraid it would snap if he tried to ride it. br>br>All right, let's get started. What is the significance of four stars? I'm a bike mechanic, so I disassembled the bike, reassembled it properly, and greased all of the bearings (factory grease looked like it came from a Thanksgiving turkey). My boy has a big old goofy grin on his face as that big yellow banana rips like hot fire. It's not a bad bike at all. br>br>Takeaway: For a very good reason, you're considering a $60 children's bike rather than a $200 children's bike. Your child will develop into an adult. The difference between a $60 bike and a $200 bike, on the other hand, is enormous, as this thing demonstrates. It's not difficult to get any bike to run smoothly (things should be tight enough that they don't fall off, but not so tight that other objects can't move). ) but if you don't know how, pay a reputable company like Trek to do it for you for the sake of your children's safety. If you're okay with that, then save your money and spend some time trying to make this baby purr, because it most certainly can.
Go ahead and try it if you know how to adjust wheel bearings and headsets. If not, you might want to stick with a local store. When I first got the bearings, I was surprised at how tight they were. If the pressure isn't adjusted, the bearings and races will wear out prematurely. All of this resistance adds up to more effort for a small child learning to ride. Disclaimer: I used to work in a bike shop and could immediately feel these things, so I made the necessary adjustments and everything is now running smoothly. I simply believe that they could do a better job of setting up the bike for those who are less inclined to work on bicycles. In any case, it was a good deal for the money. We bought it for my daughter, so we peeled off the "major damage" stickers and transformed it into her little bumble bee, complete with stickers from another amazon seller. She adores the bike and enjoys personalizing it with flower and bumble bee decals. Why must girls' bicycles be shaped differently? I'm not sure why they're so big. That isn't the case any longer. Oh, and don't even get me started on the pink princess nonsense. When she gets older, I won't be able to pay for all of that therapy.
The right-hand pedal had worn out and had to be replaced. I'm guessing it got loose and fell off, and Wifey cross threaded it back on, despite her denial: ) Aside from that (and a few flats), our boy had a blast riding this thing all summer. This appears to be a more affordable option than Wal-Mart. Although the quality isn't the best, it's a good value for money. What are you really missing out on if your child outgrows it in a year? Next spring, I'll get a new one for our son: ) Some (very simple) assembly is required, so make sure you have a crescent, vice grips, or small channel locks (any of these will suffice) on hand.
It was a complete waste of time. It was a complete waste of time, money, and my son's disappointment. I don't recommend it because the quality is poor and the majority of the items arrive damaged, beaten, and unusable. The most significant disadvantage of this bike is that it is difficult to return due to the size of the box. Not a good idea!.
