Questions & Answers

Is it possible to move both the small and the big hands?

Ours is the only one in which the big hand moves both directions. It is impossible to quickly move the small hand when the big hand is moved, so the small hand can only be moved when the big hand is moved

Is it possible for this clock to tell time on its Do you mean it can be used as an active clock when you don't have learning set up? If it's not playing with it, does it make any noise?

When you play the games, you can set the time to appear when the correct time is displayed. A very good thing, too, since this clock doesn't talk continuously all day! A fun feature is the Off setting which leaves the time displayed after you have finished playing, but the digital time goes away. I also give it a plus. You will also receive a set of battries with it!

What is the alarm clock like on this?

There is no alarm option on the digital LCD clock, even though it works in real time.

What is the best way to allow kids to learn how to tell time through this clock? I was hoping to use it in a homeschooling program. Could you please let me know what ?

It has been a valuable tool for my child since he was 3 years old, and he has been able to read the clock ever since. In the first two years he played with it quite a bit, but he is now 6 and doesn't do so anymore. It's only happened once if I've ever replaced the batteries. Teaching with this tool is a breeze.

An adorable toy for your child It Can, however, cause frustration for kids
3/5

I'd rate this clock more highly than three stars since all of its neat features are much more valuable to my child, but her frustration calls for Firstly, I'd like to point out some cool features. There is a night light at the top that you can push (easily for young children to push, and it turns off by itself after 10 minutes). There is a digital clock that tells you the correct time (you can set the current time), and there are two modes This is one of the costs In a clock, you can see what the time is by looking at where the hands are In addition, there are It will gently encourage the child if they get it wrong. There is a quiz mode where the clock will ask you to move the hands to the requested time. There is a problem with the child's hands turning as it becomes tedious. It is impossible to turn them backward, so this often means many Moreover, like a real clock, the hands are somewhat off (such as 901. A 45 will look like a others), and this has confused my child, who cannot tell time and is trying to figure out the time. As if the clock was a little more off than a real one. It would be helpful to have hands on the hour to help with I'm going to try to explain that better That was my best attempt at explaining it. My child enjoys playing with it but after a short while, he becomes completely frustrated with it and quits. As far as the hands rotating backwards are concerned, I wish I'd selected one with this feature, as it would alleviate many of the issues that I faced. It's impossible to count the number of people It is important to note the turns the child must make (especially when playing a quiz). Although I think the toy is cute, it has a good concept, and it has the activities I wanted, but the poor design frustrates growing children that don't know how to tell time.

We do not recommend this
3/5

This is not my cup of tea. The first thing I noticed was even my five-year-old was ignoring me. There's a voice saying something on this thing that annoys old. Furthermore, it's rather tricky to play the games relating to time-telling, since you cannot move the hour and minute hands separately. "Telly" has decided that I am not clever enough and moves on to another time before I finish cranking the "nose" clockwise all the way. Even I can't do that fast enough so that he can decide I could not do it by myself. You can make a time telling game out of construction paper for less than a dollar.

There is no easy way to use it
3/5

Even though the item is well made, I regret buying it for my grandson who is three years old. To play with the item very well, a 3 year old must be very confident in his/her abilities. Two sound settings are available, and both of them are way To give an example with regards to setting the time, let's say the hands are set If you want to have it at 8 o'clock, you would set it to 00 The clock has 45 minutes, and you cannot turn the hands backwards. You have to go around the clock and set it to 8 times If you pass that opportunity, it will be better to get another 45 (hopefully not too early). We gave it to him and he tried playing with it, but he does not appear to have There is only hard plastic in this item, and that's fine. If I had known that the above items were available, I would not have bought this item.

you want to get your young child interested in clocks and time, you should get this title
5/5

The toy my child loves the most is this one. Getting it for Christmas 2017 when he was 3 was a special occasion. I have a son who is 5 years old, and he takes his mobile phone everywhere with him. It's fun for him to play with the light at the top at bed time, so he uses it at night. It is supposed to be his sleep time (when he is supposed to sleep). can tell the time to the hour and within 5 minutes with almost 80% accuracy. Today, he attends preschool and knows the time to the hour with 100% accuracy, the half hour with 95% accuracy, and the hour with 100% * When you turn it on the first time it always says, "Move my hands and I'll tell you the time," and he really likes This game has a separate mode and it says, "Can you find 6" Find 4 " or "Can you find 8 " I thought at first that would be too difficult for him, since he only turned 4 3 months ago, but he was able to move the clock hands to the right place and get the right answer probably 60-70 percent of the time. *Find a replacement battery for the toy at least 70% of the time. The toy displays the correct time when powered off. As of now, the batteries have not been replaced, and my child plays with it every day.

There was something wrong with this clock
3/5

The cursor remained pointed at There was something wrong with this clock. Usually points to the wrong time. I need to go back to the drawing board and fix a lot of things. The date for returning T was missed by me I am a woman over the age of 65 You can read more about it here. As a result of a date, I am not able to return this item to get my money back. This is not an item you should buy, as you will receive the same result. In the end, it turned out that my grandchild's toy was a malfunctioning one. He enjoyed playing with it for a short period of time, but it soon became obvious why it was malfunctioning.

It is an excellent tool for teaching
5/5

For my 5 and 3 year old, this is a great learning tool (definitely more useful for the 5 year old than the 3 year There are a few ways it could be improved I would like to see the hands move in both directions and both hands move (it takes a lot of spinning to get from 2 to12, etc), and if the quiz mode allowed more time for answers (As soon as the hands stop moving, you know if the answer is correct). The program is overall a great teaching aid. As I have started writing down times for my kid to find time on Tele, so that he can have more time to work on the quiz mode, I have allowed him to find it on his own.

This is a wonderful teaching tool
5/5

My pre-teen was given this as a gift It's fun to let him help you teach reading time by counting and moving around the hands. It is great that there is a digital clock that can be programmed and fun games to make learning more enjoyable. Although this toy has been dropped a couple of times, it still functions without a problem. It is a purchase I regret, and I wish I had not hesitated. It is something I am passing on to my nieces who are younger.

Now is the time to learn! Our nephew (a 3 year old boy) is currently OBSESSED with clocks, so we bought him this for his birthday
4/5

He can use this one to learn the basics of telling time by playing a lot of games. You can move the hands to a specific number on the clock and it will tell you what it is. There is an internal digital clock to keep the time, however I am disappointed that it does not have a real clock face. The purpose of the toy would be defeated by a real clock, but if it had been a real clock, that would defeat the whole idea of teaching turning the hands, but it would have been awesome to be able to "lock" the face and hands for right on time. In between the bells on the very top of the clock there is a night light, which is a favorite feature of our nephew. It was the surprise factor of the light that he loved.
