The hands can be removed and the numbers can be seen around the clock with this clock. Making numbers bigger and smaller helps children visualize how the numerals move. There are links between the numbers to keep the number line in order, and it can be used for other number lines as well. In terms of color, the hour hand and numbers are red, minutes are blue. * However, it is difficult to put back together, especially for children with a fine motor deficit, and the instructions do not tell you that you basically have to pull off the hands to make it fit back together. A geared clock should never be used on a clock like this. All in all, this is a good product. It's sturdy, it's good looking, and it's very functional.
Since I am always adding manipulatives to my classroom, I am always adding manipulatives. A unique clock like this caught my attention at first. I thought it was This is a great idea. This clock is useful for telling time, plus there is a number line so children can visualise elapsed time. It sounds amazing, but you have to try it to understand the concept. Not so much when it comes to execution. Although the clock was somewhat larger than I expected, I wasn't thrilled with its design. The clock was a bit smaller than I imagined, so I knew it was a student clock. It is the use of the clock that causes most of my problems. When the hands get in the way, it is not always easy to remove the number line. The problem is that most of my students are calmer than this. There are students who are rougher and lack patience, making this a nightmare for them. It was important for me to like this clock, and I admire how creative and innovative it is. It is not designed for use for 1 unless I use it for that There is no way that this clock could possibly be practical for 1 person.
The topic of clocks is something my 5-year-old son is very interested in!.
This is the best resource for homeschoolers. It's cool to have a number line on the screen. This is a fantastic feature. I love that it lets you take it apart!.
This is fascinating. I have a couple of boys who are very interested in building this clock at school. As we wait for the results, we will see if understanding improves. A number line removed from the work space would be a major.
This is a total rip-off. This is a very small and cheaply made item. This is not a product I would This clock is not good enough, buy a better.
It is a great manipulative if your child is learning how to tell time. My child is a hands-on learner so he loved using it. This is a very interesting way to show time. The different colours of the hour and minute hands is good. It's easy for you to change the time so you can quiz your child or have them move the time on their own. You can easily pack it for travel as it is small and compact.
You can learn a lot with this tool. The fact that you can remove the numbers and that the colors coordinate is amazing.
