It wasn't until I bought this CD for a friend's kid and played it that I realized this song had been haunting me since I was a child, playing in the background of my heart ever since. OMG IT'S THAT CLOCK SONG You should prepare to be haunted if you are like me. You know at least now that it's true!.
I remember these toys from my younger years since I was a child of the 1960s. There are three things at the desk. A clock, a phone, and Snoopy. In the century that we are living in, quality has been cut across the globe. In addition, the clock, which was once made with heavy wood has been replaced by plastic of poor quality made with plastic and a very short battery life. A fake sticker has been affixed to it, making me hurt, shocked and angry The false advertising is done for a very long time, and there is no reason to purchase any kind of toy.
This one is more recent, and I am delighted to have found it. In the original, it was heavy, and I had to worry about kids getting bonked on Plastic and lighter, the new one allows the grandkids to carry it around more easily and not put family members in danger of serious injuries. The kids love to listen to the song (just as I did when I was a kid) and enjoy watching the pictures every hour during the It would be wonderful if they could pass this on to their children when they get.
It seems I like "vintage" things, so you could say I look for that kind of stuff. As usual, Fisher Price never lets us down with its updated toys that retain the charming and high quality of years past. Playing music on the clock is as simple as winding it from the back. A dial on the front of the clock can be used to adjust the hands. It still does not work as a clock, but it is more for teaching people how to tell time and not as a functional clock itself. As if a music box were playing, the sound is heard. I love it.
It broke when my son played with it for the first time. Totally a waste of time. There are no metal parts. I prefer the original version because it was much more durable. The one I found on eBay seems to be in good shape. I love the way it looks and it works great. Thirty years have passed since it was initiated. The classic is portrayed in a pale, tragic way.
Fisher Price clock was the first "big" toy my 50 year old son received when he was a baby (except for rattles and small hand toys), so when his grandson was born, this was the toy waiting for him on his great grandma's doorstep. This clock made my day! I was delighted to find it. This clock was in the parents' house when my children were young and are now 50 and 45. My father gave it to me when I was young, and it was passed on to his siblings. If you have a small child up to about age 5, this clock would make a wonderful gift. A 1 year old's birthday is coming up so I'm giving him this. There is nothing like this vintage toy to make everyone smile. The music is so catchy and it makes everyone smile. A good recreation of a classic toy was done by Fisher Price.
