Questions & Answers

What are some recommendations regarding where I can find a wooden ball so I can replace my ?

You can use anything that is the size of a golf ball

As part of my object permanence box, there was a piece of wood attached to the bottom, I assume this is a ramp that guides the ball. What has your experience been like?

This box did not come with its own piece of wood.

Do you know where it is made?

There are a lot of Chinese products out there.

It's been 9 months since I had a baby. Are there any chances that she'll keep this all the way through her toddler years or will she grow bored of it pretty quickly?

She will likely be interested in this until 15 months or so from now. The one with the drawer is what I would suggest next. My daughter is a toddler and I am the owner of a Montessori school for 0 to 3 year olds.

We've compiled a list of our baby's favorites from birth to 6 A year and a half
5/5

The first time we bought this box, we bought it to help teach our daughter about object permanence at home, as we are trying to follow montessori principles ourselves. The toy has been her absolute favorite since she was 6 months old, despite its simplicity. It was first fascinating to watch us model it then it was exciting to do it herself and now it is delightful to see if larger and smaller objects will fit in there. Her love for curling up in this box keeps her entertained for a very long period of time as well as invigorating since she crawls after the balls when they don't quite make it into the holes. Moreover, she's really curious to learn how the box works and has looked at it from a variety of perspectives so far. The quality of this is also very good. Also, we bought the next level, which is the cylinder shape with a hole and door (and she hasn't taken to that either). One thing about its ball is that it is very poor quality. With its' slippery plastic features, the ball popped right out of her hand, so we use another ball that came with the Hape Geometric Rattle set, which has a little rubber grip to it, and it fits perfectly!.

Toy that is great for learning! In a nutshell, As a newborn, our daughter was only a month old when we bought her this toy
5/5

At her 12 month visit, she is still thrilled to play with it. At several months old, she loved watching me play with it while she did tummy time. I'm very happy with how sturdy it is and how well it's held up.

The product is strong and well made
5/5

The wood is all there is! After reading other reviews concerning the plastic ball, I was worried, but I was very pleased to receive a sturdy, well-made wooden box and wooden ball in the mail this past I showed my smallest child how to do it and he also did it after I showed him one time. I am very happy with the outcome! At first, he used the ball to tap on the box, then put it in the hole, and used other objects to try. As he tried to eat it all, I was relieved to learn that it is safe and natural for him to slobber I love it. As soon as your baby has mastered the main activity, you can introduce a variety of shapes and sizes. In my case, I offered them a wool dryer ball (too big), a rectangle wooden montessori tool (just right), and a squish ball (too big unless they were Congratulations on the birth of a happy baby!.

This game is simple and fun, but does not hold attention for a long period of time
4/5

This was a purchase we made because we wanted to start integrating Montessori toys into our environment. Although my husband was skeptic about it as it seemed so simple and didn't think it would hold her attention, I convinced him to keep it when he was not happy with how much it cost. I was delighted when it worked! Her immediate response to the ball and pointing out the hole was that she immediately began putting the ball in, and she was very intrigued at how the ball It was a delight to see her grab other toys and see if they would roll out next. About a month later we began to see her grabbing other toys and trying to slide them through. The connection she made was fascinating to watch. For something more thrilling, I would highly recommend changing out the ball for one that has a different texture, sound, etc. Each time we bring out one of these toys she does play with it excitedly each time, but it does not hold her attention as long as many other toys do, like musical instruments and bead mazes. It is good for development, but does not hold my attention the way I would like it too.

It could be better, but it's still very good
3/5

It's a good toy, I like the quality The foundation of a sturdy building A very smooth wooden ball and a wooden box made of solid wood. In anticipation of the sound, my baby would close her eyes when I taught her how to play. She was unable to enjoy the toy at all because of it. The soft toy has been on her playing mat for about a week and has not been touched. It is evident that she is a gifted 9-year-old When she's about six months old she warms up to new toys within a day or two, especially when parents play with them (as we did The ball is made of plastic, but I would prefer silicone or felt so that the ball doesn't make a very loud sound when dropped. The box may also have had some lining, which would have prevented the sound from traveling. My household would prefer a toy that is much more appealing, but it is too annoying for me.

Buying this was a great decision
4/5

It is a factor you must take into consideration. It's 14 months old now, and my baby is a There is nothing wrong with this drop ball. It's a nice, large size that she will love. There is a smooth finish to the device. I really like the quality of the ball, and it slides out smoothly regardless of what you do to it, unlike other drop ball toys I've tried in the past that sometimes required me to shake it As the box did not have any color, she did not take notice of it right away. It does however have some red color on one side. I just wish they painted it a little bit more kid friendly so it would be more kid-friendly. It appears that the slide inside the box is quite As opposed to the exterior part, it does not have a smooth finish, which can create a risk of getting splintered. It's important for me to keep an eye on my baby because she puts her hand in the box. The finish of wooden toys is also something to consider when purchasing them. However, it is a toy that does serve its purpose for learning and is a reasonably priced toy as well.

I am very satisfied with the quality and my baby appears to be happy with There should have been a natural ball in the package instead of the red one, and I wish the front panel had been available in other colors as well, other than I would give it a 5 star rating if it weren't for the color
4/5

So far, it has worked very well and has held up quite well for several months! He still plays with it today, even after he is a year old. The sound it makes when he drops the ball inside and it hits the ramp is one of his favorite sounds. It is not entirely necessary for me to buy this toy. The device only does one thing, but it's a bit big and expensive for what it's supposed to do. It is not something I regret purchasing but I do not know if it was totally worth the price. But I have noticed that my baby plays with the ball simultaneously with other things too, so it's There are a lot of colors I prefer over red, I would have liked white, black, blue, or green much more but I suppose it's not the end of the world, first world problems, lol.

As I watched him study this toy, I was captivated
5/5

The project is still in the process of developing. As I watched him study this toy, I was captivated. After practicing getting the ball long before releasing it into the box, he became adept at releasing it. It was amazing to see the reward on his face once he had done it. In the following months, he worked on this skill and is still doing it today. It is therefore his school work as well as other activities that challenge him to use his brain in different ways. I'm not saying this ball never disappears or never gets tossed around, but there are other toys that can take its place. In that sense, it However, that's also a part of learning, and we welcome it.
