The bottom is soft, allowing the child to reach inside and pull out the shapes. It is a big hit with my 1-year-old.

I'm not a big fan of beginning with Dis- However, some baby or toddler toys, such as a few, appear to be off in the thinking that goes into the idea of how the toy will function. br>This toy appeals to us aesthetically, but it is not what it appears to be. When inserting the letter into the slot, the letters were not as thick as one would like. Also, and this is the most crucial part, Why are the letters off-kilter in shape? Why don't we have a few more blocks? cube. It's difficult for a small child to maneuver and understand how it works, which reduces the child's enjoyment and challenge.
Because my son has autism, it hasn't proven to be as useful as I had hoped, but perhaps when things begin to click for him. It's going to be something new! He is drawn to it because he enjoys rockets.
It is, however. This is one of my two-year-old's favorite things. However, getting the pieces out of the bottom is difficult. It doesn't appear to disassemble for easier access to the shapes when they're inside, but he loves rockets, so this is still a win.
My one-year-old loves it, so it's a great product. The only drawback is that the bottom is very tight, making it difficult to remove the shapes and numbers.
For a first birthday present, this is super cute.
