I bought it about 6 months ago. Because the kids don't use it very often, it has held up well. It has a sour flavor to it. It rotates because of a spinner piece at the bottom. It may be more stable if you remove that piece. Around the top, there are also unfinished sharp edges. Several times, my youngest daughter's legs and hands became entangled in the rotating block side. We attempted to sell it at a consignment shop recently, but they refused due to the unfinished sharp edges. My older daughter liked the top beads, but I would suggest looking for something that is a little safer and more durable.
It is, in a word, ADORABLE! Keeps him occupied for a long time, and he returns to play again and again. It spins and is a subject of investigation. It hasn't tipped over even when I lean against it. Our son is a rough player, and it has lasted six months with no issues. Because it is made of durable wood, it is an excellent toy to pass down through the generations. Also works well as a gift! I bought it when it was on sale because I didn't want to spend $100 on a toy I wasn't sure he'd like, and used and dirty ones were going for $50 on Craigslist. I'm so happy I came across this toy! It's a good investment!.
My son adores this cube, which we purchased when he was ten months old and was obsessed with spinning the gears on one side. Now that he's 14 months old, he's starting to play with the balls on top and attempting to stack his other favorite toys on top, though the bars are causing some issues. Because of the various levels of activities it provides, I believe this cube will remain a favorite of his for a long time.
5br>br>This toy is fantastic; my 9-month-old daughter absolutely adores it! I know it's supposed to be for babies 1 and up, but this is a great toy for when they're learning to walk and stand because she can climb up and stand against it, as well as move around it. br>THE BIG BUT is that it spins, which is fine if you have an older baby, but if they're barely standing, they'll climb up onto it and fly off as it spins. Fortunately, the spinning element can be removed, but I had to enlist the help of my husband; it requires two hex keys, one for the top inner part of the screw and the other for the bottom part, both used simultaneously; once that's done, it's stable and won't spin or move, and she's having a great time with it!.
It appears to be the same as the illustration. The top corners are sanded and the color is vibrant. One thing to keep in mind is that if the child holds on to the top and falls backwards, the toy will also fall.
I like the idea of this for my 8-month-old, but once I got it in, I discovered it was very easy to pull over. To keep it flat on the ground on all four corners, I'll need to unscrew the bottom spinner. I wish it was a little heavier so it wouldn't get pulled over when she tries to pull it up.
My two-year-old and ten-month-old both enjoy this toy. It's very well constructed. I would have given it a higher rating if it hadn't been for the terrible shipping. I'm surprised it wasn't damaged upon arrival.
It is extremely popular among children.
