Yes, the paint did not run on clothes, and after the boys finished, we sprayed a clear finish on and we waited a couple of hours. Our older boys had some paint on their hands which was easily washed off, but I think the paint is acrylic, but they were older and had older boys.

I find this product to be of high quality and cute. This was used with my 3 year old son, who was impatient to wait for things to dry (glue and paint take a while In order to hide the stickers, glue it first, then give it to a child to paint (if it's for a younger child). This is a great gift for a 3 year old I have a 3 year old who paints on this car every day. The painter can paint more than once. You can put over the stickers. Clothing that is stained by paint will be stained for a long time, so painting in the house with an apron and drop cloth is also an option.
