It is far better with these paints due to the wide openings on the bottles and the way they stack back in the box after use. This is the first time I have used neon paints. I am really impressed with the color selection and the neon effects. As it comes with white, you can combine your own colors in order to make a fully customized design. In all of our testing to date, they have washed out of everything they got on (kitchen table, yoga pants, waterproof bib, and onesies) and the paint dries quickly. We have had no problems with them thus far, One of my only complaints is the fact that it can be a tad messy dispensing them because of the wide opening, so far they have not been an issue, but made spilling or getting them all messy a bit more likely.

These are great because they come in colors and are small enough to be stored easily. That is amazing because it is so easy to remove it from table, clothes, etc. Despite the fact that there are a lot of colors, like three shades of pink, there was only one shade of blue, which is in fact the color our kids prefer. I just wish the amount of colors included in each pack were more consistent. Since they are young toddlers, they will also go through them very quickly since they usually just glob their paint everywhere. The last thing I notice is that they smell a lot. The smell of the plates and brushes is not very appealing to me. I'm sure it's just my sensitive nose, but whenever I get close to them or clean them, I get a strong whiff. Since I already owned the regular washable paints from Crayola, I wasn't necessarily aware of the difference between the neon and regular paints. This is such a unique and cool idea! My daughter's 3 year old birthday party featured kid-friendly painting and the adults joined in when they saw how much fun the kids had. In one example, a mom used neon paints to make a really cute dinosaur design on her canvas. It is true that the paint can be washed. Clothes, arms, tables, chairs, hair - everything was touched by it! There's no limit to what you can do. The liquid came out of all the wipes we used. I don't recall Crayola "neon" colors being colorful like those in the box of 10 regular Crayola tempera paint colors. However, they are not neon/day-glo colors like hot pink or shocking lime green. Despite their overall merits, the paints do not seem to me to be neon. I am knocking off one star to reflect this. The color set goes well with my set of 10 regular colors as well, so I'm glad I bought them.
