There isn't any real distinction. It can also be washed. BUT, if you want to paint on black or dark papers, this is THE tempera to use. The colors are extremely vibrant and contrast well with the dark background. Other temperas dry transparent, almost as if they've absorbed into the paper.
Yes, to the best of my knowledge.
No, I did not request that anything be done on my behalf. It was only the top half of the lid that was broken; the paint itself was fine, so I worked around it.

It performs exactly as expected. If you think your 2-year-old is the next Monet but don't want to deal with the property damage and material costs associated with acrylics, these are the paints for you. Also, if your child has a near-obsessive desire to paint their entire body as if they're getting ready for Burning Man or a rave party, but they can't because they're only 2, you can easily wash the paint off of their body and out of (almost) every crevasse. It's a lot harder to get out of the dolls that were painted to accompany you to the rave.
The immediate sting of spending so much money on kid paint is mitigated by the fact that I believe I will never have to buy paint again. If you're on the fence about purchasing it, go ahead and do so. You'll be ecstatic the next time you don't have to buy a pack of four colors just to get more red for your child who ONLY PAINTS IN RED. Oh, and when it comes to giving them colors, I'm no longer a stingy paint nazi - You've got yourself a present, kid. We have plenty of water, so it doesn't matter if it dries up overnight. After a few spills, we added a cheap rug to our art area. With a little elbow grease, we were able to extract the color from our beige carpet, but I wouldn't recommend it. Also, go ahead and get it on your clothes if it gets on your clothes. pre-treatment Wash as soon as possible (do not put it in the pile for next week, but don't put it in the washer right away). After a day or two, I've found it difficult to get it out of my clothes.
Our plastic dolls, each other, Paper, and the concrete patio have all been painted. It appears to come off of the toys, the skin (without staining it), and even the concrete!.
The ease with which this washed out of my daughter's clothes astounded me. However, as soon as I opened the paint, it emitted a strong chemical odor. I assumed it was due to being stored in a warehouse and that it simply needed to air out, but the odor did not go away. It became so overwhelming that it gave me a headache (which does not happen often), and I had to limit my daughter's time with it. She got some on her hands, and they were a little dry afterwards (which has never happened with any other paint), so I believe whatever chemical was causing the smell was also causing the dry skin. Although the colors are lovely, I'm going to have to return this.
I wasn't expecting such a strong smell from a crayola product; it gave me a headache the first time I used it, and it still has the same smell months later, though it's not quite as strong. I'm relieved that my children were unaffected by the odor. Crayola has let me down this time. They should have held themselves to a higher standard, in my opinion. Maybe they'll send me some free non-staining paint!.
In our house, we go through a lot of paint. I'm a former art teacher who is now a stay-at-home mom to a five-year-old, a three-year-old, and a four-month-old. The paint in those tiny Walmart bottles is barely enough to cover the sides of the bottle, and the majority of it sticks to the sides. This is exactly what we were looking for!.
I had previously purchased the 2-ounce (8-ounce) size. These are great as a stocking stuffer, but they're hard to get out of the small jars. So when I discovered them in their entirety, I was ecstatic. bottles of various sizes with a squeeze top lids. However, as I was unpacking them, I noticed that they had sent me two bottles of peach paint and none of red. Annoying. Amazon, on the other hand, was more than happy to fix the problem.
She gets paint on the dining room tables, chairs, floor, and her clothes all the time, and it all comes clean after it dries! The color palette is vibrant and appealing. On some items, it dries a little thin, but it's great for kids and goes well with finger painting, sponge painting, or stamping. The paint appears to be in good condition and does not appear to have developed a layer of gunk on top of it. One of the lids did break fairly easily when my child attempted to open it, but it only broke at the hinge, and we were able to reassemble it. It keeps the paint from sticking to the surface, but I don't want to drop or knock it over. There is no odor. Overall, this is a fantastic product that I would purchase again.
