Crayola Colors of the World crayons are a favorite of my son's. He meticulously color-matched each family member's skin tone to the crayons before drawing pictures of them. I was ecstatic to discover that a marker could come in the same range of colors. The colors are vibrant, and the markers appear to cover a large area well. My issue is with the packaging itself. It is extremely inconvenient to use the markers without purchasing a new storage box. There are four boxes in the package. The larger box has three smaller boxes, two green and one yellow, that open from the side. Because these smaller boxes open from the top, you must completely remove them to access the markers. And there's no way to tell what colors are in each box without opening it because there's no window or anything to list or show the colors. My four-year-old is currently opening and emptying all of the boxes in order to locate the color he requires. We've always kept our markers and crayons in their Crayola boxes, but I'll need to find a plastic storage container for these.
These Crayola markers are fantastic. Light and dark skin tones come in a wide range of shades that are both useful and diverse. The colors aren't garish, which was a problem I had with the Crayola Supertip markers when coloring lighter people. This set of markers allows me to color all skin tones. br>br>I would give the markers a five-star rating for quality. They're perfect for what they're made for. a set of art supplies for kids br>br>However, because of the packaging, I gave it a 4/5. Three small boxes that fit inside a larger box contain the markers. Because you can't fit all of the almond colors into one of these small boxes, they're useless for color organization based on undertone. Instead, I sort the colors into plastic bags.
There are a wide variety of colors to suit almost any skin tone. The quality is merely acceptable, but that is to be expected from Crayola. Crayons were used to color only Skin. The rest of the image was created with Sharpies.
Natural- skin tones that are natural-looking There won't be any bright pinks or oranges in this room. There are no muddy or dark gray browns in this collection. No black. br>br>For fine detail work, the tips are too wide. These markers, on the other hand, are ideal for adult coloring books. They can be used alone or with the matching set of 24 colored pencils to intensify colors. br>br> Both of these sets are suggested. You can't go wrong at this price. br>br> My artist-grade coloring media works well with both the markers and pencils. br>br>The markers and matching pencils are made in the United States and Brazil, respectively.
These were ordered at the request of one of the families we serve, a family with a diverse range of skin tones. I really like the packaging for these markers, as well as all of the colors that they thoughtfully came up with.
I bought these markers for my four-year-old son, but I can't let him use them because the markers I got aren't washable, as advertised, and contain stain-causing colorants. I'd like the washable markers sent to me. ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA: ETA I placed a second order and received the same non-descriptive product. sigh, washable markers, as listed.
There are a few books that are unique, but they are few and far between. My children are biracial, and my family is mixed. My son has already noted that he does not resemble any of the characters he sees on television or in books. br>I resolved to do something about it, so I purchased these markers and began coloring some of our books in a realistic manner. Some people may not agree with what I'm doing, but it's important to have representation. It is extremely important. br>I would strongly advise anyone interested in doing the same to use these markers.
My family and I enjoy using the Colors of the World markers because they help us better represent our family's diversity. Of course, the markers are of the high quality that we've come to expect from Crayola. We'll put these on every possible gift list - A set is a must-have for everyone!.
