It was easy to put together since I took the panels out of their shipping cartons, assembled it, and filled it up with patio items in less than ten minutes. Everything inside stays dry since the seams are tight and prevent water from getting in. This box looks very nice on a deck and is a handsome piece of furniture. It was really a surprise to me. I had a slight glitch with the assembly when I was trying to incorrectly snap the bottom panel into a side piece by holding it incorrectly - I held it the wrong way while snapping and it broke. It's the wrong side up (Oh well! As a result, I had to work a little harder to snap the lid into place with the three heavy duty hinges, but I managed to do it by forcefully pressing my large butt into the hinge and they all clicked into place. I wouldn't use it as a seat because the lid is curved. It is very easy to drag the box around on a deck, but not much good if you want to drag it on the grass. The wheels are small and cylindrical for easy mobility on decks, but they are not very useful when a box needs to be dragged on grass. Hard surfaces are the only surfaces they work well with. Additionally, there are sturdy handles on both sides that fold out of the bag to be used as a handle. I really like the look and feeling of this deck caddy, as well as its durability and waterproof properties.

I purchased this to replace my older, identical unit that I had converted into a TNR shelter a few years ago for the three feral cats I had fixed in the backyard. A heating pad is installed on the old box and there is an entrance on the side and an entrance on the opposite side. The way these boxes go together is familiar to me since I've assembled four of them (smaller boxes and benches) during the past few years. You can't beat this chest for quality! It took my husband and me (two old people living in an apartment in New York) less than five minutes to assemble. My opinion is that this is the most beautiful thing I've We use it to store garden tools and other gardening supplies on our balcony, and it is both lightweight and strong. Overall, we are very pleased with the results. Aside from the fact that there is no way to lock it or to secure the lid in a strong wind, it is perfect. For the lid not to be opened by the wind, we made it larger by placing a terra cotta pot on top of it.

Even though the box is extremely well constructed and designed, the assembly instructions are seriously flawed. Assembling it in reverse prevents a proper assembly and there is no way to undo it. In terms of this design, the back side and bottom are placed in one step without rendering it clear that the bottom must be inserted first.

There is no snap together feature as advertised on the chest. No rubber mallet or paper clip will get the tabs to click. It is my second time trying it. The first time it was a bit of a lemon. If that's the case, then the second one must also be the same. Rather than wasting your time and money, save yourself the hassle and money. There's a pity that these items don't get checked before they're sold.
