However, the hardware or instructions did not come with the product, even though it appears to be of good quality for the price. A product like this should be easy to assemble, but it isn't, and it comes with instructions to demonstrate how to do so. When it's necessary to install the top part first before assembling the container, it seems so negligent to not contain instructions. My husband is quite handy, but I think it's negligent to not include instructions with the package. As a result, it appears impossible to take the parts apart once it's assembled, making the process even more troublesome and preventing us from returning the product.
We could not find a manual until we looked into the possibility of returning the product. If they didn't provide the parts in the first place, you will have to contact their customer service, find out which manual your model is referenced in, and ask them to send them the parts. The way I see it, this is way too much work and time wasted trying to make a customer happy when the mistake was on THEIR part.
When I read the other reviews, I see that this same mistake is repeated over again. It is necessary for the company to take action. A decent product at a fair price is great, but when you have a bad operational team that keeps making dumb mistakes, the cost for the customer and the cost for their customer service / after-sales is tremendous. This group sells to potential clients. You only have one chance to get it right, so do it right!.
I hate that! Review articles would have helped me to make a more informed decision before purchasing this item. I agree with the other reviewers that there were no instructions nor hardware included. Those plastic pieces are all you need. is it possible for so many people to be affected by this in the same way? A third party seller sold me this, and I have no connection to them poor quality checking There is no excuse for this since I bought it from Amazon as the seller. As we couldn't find the hardware, my husband assembled the unit before he realized it was missing. In order to keep the lid on, hinges and bolts are needed. Once built, this unit cannot be taken apart and put back together without completely destroying it, so there is no way to return it to its original position. Over the past week, I've tried calling their customer support team, but I keep getting a message that says "due to unusually high call volume, we may not be able to assist you at this time" or something similar. How could you possibly think I would believe that? It cost me more than I wanted to spend on this unit only to have it rot at the back of our backyard. There are too many people who have complained about this to me that I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau. You're not supposed to do that. The inability to respond to your customers' needs is not acceptable, I understand that mistakes can happen.
You'd be amazed at how wonderful it would be. But it currently sits in my living room in the form of a large plastic carcass. A series of sturdy plastic strips can be found inside the lid these keep it from opening too far and tipping In addition to serving a great function, they have been able to withstand some abuse I like the basket weave pattern because it is classy and pleasing. There is no indication that it is cheap looking, which it could easily be. The brown colour (they call it "mocha") is a dark brown which complements a brick and concrete porch well. There are no visible signs of aging at all, and it still looks and functions exactly as it did the day we put it together. If you are thinking about getting a deck box, I highly recommend this one.
