This is in a fence that I have. A small amount of water leaks during heavy rains. In the end, I installed a sheetmetal "L" above the front opening and it appears that most of the water has been kept
YES, the product is waterproof since will not rust due to the fact steel does not rust.

Several times, my mailbox has been broken into, so I wanted a more secure solution. In my opinion, this was the perfect choice, as it has a great look, is more or less easy to install, and is relatively inexpensive. The only problem is that it leaks something awful and all my mail has been soaked. The bottom of the awning was drilled with drain holes, and I built a small awning to cover it, which looks to have solved I'm not sure why, but today my post carrier came knocking and asked if we could switch The 8 or 10 pages are not enough for any magazines. Email using the 5x11 format. I'm very disappointed and am in search of a product that can handle non-radioactive data Please let me know if anyone has suggestions for a similar design for letter-sized mail.
I ended up returning the tool since it was made of heavy gauge steel and powder coated. It is too narrow for the mailman to put magazines and other large pieces of paper mail through the mail slot. I am looking for a through the door mailbox. The door is very sturdy, however it is a little heavy to attach to the hinges on the vinyl side yard door on which we wanted to install it. I will keep looking for my needs since I like the product, but I cannot use it for my purposes.
According to the description on the web site and the measurements shown, you would think this mailbox would fit an 8 x 10 envelope, but In the back, there is a ledge that prevents anything taller than a few inches from getting through the locked door. The sideways placement of a regular envelope would result in it getting stuck. There is a problem with a magazine getting stuck. There is something wrong with the 8 x 10 envelope that stops it from going This was very disappointing for me. I really want a mail box that can go.
I was amazed at how heavy this lock box was. Features a hammered black powder coat finish and is constructed of steel. I am very impressed with the quality of this product. Although I didn't think it was worth it to spend $140 on a lock box, I am glad I did because you can't put a price on safety and security, can you? I had to do a little tweaking because I mounted the box to a corrugated steel face garage door. However, in my case it was not that difficult. In general, it should be a very straightforward installation for people who have wood doors. It came with all of the hardware and (2) keys which I really liked. had to buy extra washers since it came with double the amount of washers for the hardware so that I can mount it to the outside of the mounting surface as well. In addition, I had to use silicone caulk around the lock box since there was a slight gap between the inside and outside where the frame attached to the actual lock box. They could have included some sort of gasket, and this would be perfect for installation.
Otherwise, a decent product. A greater dimension was needed to fit the postal slot into the cavity within the door than was necessary for the cut-out The reason is unclear to me, but it exists. There was no choice but to redo the opening Using the dimensions taken from the product itself, the trim was created. Besides that, it's fairly straight forward.
There is no point in getting a third. I had to return two. Sadly, the first one I received did not align well with the hinge, and the paint around where the hinge attached was poorly done. I returned it, and the second one I received had an incorrectly aligned hinge, and again, the locking door was loose. It was disappointing. We are moving to a new.
It was important to me to have a thorough understanding It consists of Dropbox mounted on a fence so that the USPS could deliver mail to the front door (which has a locked gate), and it falls into the box and is protected from being stolen. A small obstruction blocks the way when you open the drawer in front, preventing anything bigger than a small envelope from inside. We had a difficult time delivering the single magazine shown in the attached photo, for example.
Anything larger than a letter or an envelope gets stuck, but it fits perfectly on my door. I have a magazine coming in the mail, so let it go!.
