The professional opinion I hold
5/5

Key box that's the best on the market. My professional background is as a locksmith, so I HATE the idea of leaving keys outside. It is just that there is no other option, sometimes. It may be a rental property where the manager cannot be on site to turn over keys, or it may be a commercial property with access to a key in the event of an emergency. The key boxes I recommend and use are shown here. It is extremely difficult to cut through them, and if mounted properly to concrete, they are practically impossible to remove except by using a sledgehammer to remove a large chunk of the wall. There is still the substantial matter of getting it OPEN, which requires its own In some videos I've seen, there are "hacks" for getting the unit open, but in my experience as a locksmith, half of them don't work. The other half, you have to be extremely skillful, and you must be very lucky, to accomplish. For customers who have lost their combination, I have had to cut open these, and even knowing how to do it, it's not an easy job. Item to note However, it does not come with wall anchors, and the screws are not the best. If you wish to make the unit really secure, you will have to provide your own wall anchors and upgrade the screws, as well as apply epoxy or construction adhesive to the back of the unit before mounting. If you are installing masonry, I recommend lead anchors and stainless fasteners as well as construction adhesive or two part epoxy that will bond to the metal as well as the masonry. The screws you use for mounting to wood should be the longest you can safely use for whatever you are attaching the unit to, and you should use an epoxy or construction adhesive that will bond both metal and wood. While you do gain a bit more security, it only adds a few dollars to the overall cost.

We were having work done on a house we owned in another city, and this product is strong and sturdy
5/5

People who do the work, of course, want access to the home during the times when we are not able to go I was not able to get the work done in addition to having to miss work for The aim of getting this key vault is for me to be able to store some keys in it and give access to people when needed. Due to its proximity to a big city, the emptiness of the house, and its situation in a big city, I was concerned about the security of the vault whether it would be strong enough to prevent someone from breaking in and gaining access. Despite being heavy and sturdy in general, the key vault felt very solid. The key vault can be opened by pushing the key combination into the slot and sliding the lever to the open position. When you have opened the key vault door, to put it back on you must punch the combination again, push the open button down, and hold it for 10 seconds, before sliding the door back into place. You can now release the lever to close the door once the lock is in place. Slide the Clear lever to the bottom just to be sure. A number from 0 to 9 is assigned to each of the 10 pins. It's easy to set the combination - just follow these steps In order to use the numbers pin, you need to rotate the screws corresponding to those numbers 180 degrees (i. e. As long as it does not exceed 1234567890, you can set the combination to whatever you want. Setting it to that number wouldn't make sense, since anyone could try it. It is better to choose a 5 or 6 number combination in order to increase the number of variations which cannot be easily guessed. It is important to note that each number can only be used once. A 1234 is possible but a 1134 cannot be done. combination code 1134 is essentially the same as a combination code 134. In addition to the four screws required for wall attachment, the vault comes with two drywall anchors. There are four 4" screws inside the drywall. I replaced the stock screws with 4 - 3/16" screws. Screws with a length of 2 inches. By using longer screws, you will provide more security and you will reach deeper into the underlying wood. This gives a bit more holding power, so if someone wants to steal the vault, they are going to have to work harder For the final step in the installation, I caulked around the perimeter of the vault and around the wall to prevent any potential moisture from leaking in. I found the vault to be sturdy, and I found the installation to be simple. Despite spending a quarter of that time hunting in my assortment of bolts for longer screws, it took me 20 minutes to install it.

Your home or business can be secure with our key storage solution
4/5

There are several places where people hide a house key, such as under a door mat, under a rock, under a flower pot, or in the garage. There is no guarantee that any of these methods will be It is extremely important when you have family, friends or co-workers who occasionally need keys for your home or business that you have a controlled, secure method of storing those keys in an area they can easily access. Prior to deciding to go with the GE Security KeySafe, I looked into a number of key lock boxes. There's no need to worry about lost keys with this rugged, permanent installation key holder with a 10-year warranty**** System that uses a key pushbutton to unlock. This double-glazed window is constructed with double-paned windows This safe is made of a thin zinc alloy wall and is capable of holding All mounting hardware to secure this box to a solid mounting surface is provided, as well as four colors to choose from (white, clay, titanium and black). There are 10 questions on the list Combination lock system with keys allows you to create a custom code that is changeable at any time and provides over 1,000 different combinations at a time. It has a solid construction and is weather-proof The material is weather-resistant, so it is well suited to outdoor applications. This device is easy to install and the included instructions are easy to understand. You assign a code by turning a series of switches found inside the front plate, with the help of a small flat-blade screwdriver. It is easy to set and you can change it at any time. You can choose any combination of numbers you like, but be aware that once a number button is pushed down, it remains pressed. For this reason, you might want to avoid repeating the same number in your combination more than once. You should also keep in mind that the numbers can be keyed in any order, so you should select your combination with care. To sum up, if you choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 If you were to type it as 4, you would enter it as 4 The number 1, or the number 1 The order of those numbers can be any number between 1 and 4. Since you can open the lock by simply pressing all of your combination buttons at the same time, the lock will not be able to be opened by all of the buttons combined at the same time. When you are done selecting and setting your combination, you have to enter it in order to engage the lock tab so that the cover can be placed on On the inside of the cover, you'll find a handy key clip to attach a set of one to five keys of average size. There is no way to force entry into the Security KeySafe because it is well built and very hard to bypass. It is vital that you remember your combination code, since if you lose it, you will never be able to open it. Despite being grateful for the strength of this device, the fact that I could potentially have my keys locked in it for a lifetime if I forgot the combination makes me nervous. In addition to the mounting screws, the storage box's internal mechanism is also installed from the inside, so that if you lose the combination, it would be impossible for you to remove the box. In addition to needing to enter a combination code to open and close the box, it is also possible to become irritated with this policy. As soon as you key in the code and push down on the "open" latch, it resets the lock mechanism, so you have to key in the combination again once you have opened or closed the box. Considering I personally do not use this key box much, I do not find this to be a major The box has some issues that I haven't tested out yet, but I expect to encounter them if I use it every day. In summary, I find the GE Security KeySafe (model #001409) to be a good value and a safe method for storing my house keys so that my kids and other family members have access to them. Now that I have been using it for about 4 months, it provides my entire family with real peace of mind. Our family can now lock the door behind us even when a child is expected to return home soon we know everyone within the family will be able to gain easy access to the keys needed to lock and very easy to install and set our code, and we were able to teach our children how to use it in no time. Having to key in the combination in any order is the only thing I dislike about this product. If the combination had to be keyed in a specific order, I would find that it would add an extra layer of safety. The GE Security KeySafe is definitely safer and more convenient than hiding a key in the garage or under a rock in the yard. It is well made and weatherproof. The plant is highly resistant, so it should serve me for a long time I have recommended this product to all my family and friends because it's easy to use and free. You may want to consider the GE Security KeySafe if you need to hide away a few spare keys.
