We hope for a lifetime to never be faced with the devastation of a fire in our home (or anywhere else for that matter), however with extreme weather and natural disasters such as floods and wildfires on the rise, we can't predict the future. The thought of losing important documents in a fire or flood because they weren't properly protected always made me a bit nervous, and I had in the back of my mind getting a firesafe. I was attracted to this particular bag because it has a U-shaped opening with 3 layers and an aluminum wrap. I'm amazed at how big it is! With the U shape zipper you can easily get in and out of things. The set would be adequate, but it would be better if it had a divider for the laptop and a complete set of 3 pieces. There is a separate small bag for essentials and small stuff. I recommend it and I am satisfied with it.
