In testing the fireproof bag, I burned the surface for a few seconds with a lighter, and found that it left no signs of burning by itself, and that it maintained a very effective fireproof function.
The Velcro on this fireproof bag is strong enough and the zipper is high-quality To ensure that the files held inside the bag are safe, the bag is equipped with a high-quality zipper.
As for the water proof feature, I have not tested it yet. But the bag does look thick and well constructed Despite it feeling like it should be waterproof, the material is not. In that case, I believe you can return it for free if you're an Amazon Prime customer. The purchase I made is satisfactory to me.

A lighter has not been used to test the fire resistance of this product. I ordered it after reading a few reviews that claimed it would keep documents dry when inside a backpack or that it would keep documents dry from rain when inside a backpack. I can't imagine a situation in which this pouch's fire resistance would be adequate unless you are storing your documents in here and holding the pouch during a candlelight dinner and you drop the pouch on a candle. I tested the pouch by putting some actual documents inside and lighting a small backyard fire. Within a couple minutes, even though the fire was not even large enough to burn the actual firewood, all the documents had been consumed. During 15 minutes in a small campfire, the fabric that makes up the sleeve appeared to hold up well, but the seams burned out at about the 2 minute mark, making everything inside a total mess.
Summary of findings If someone chases you with a zippo, you are relatively unlikely to keep this from burning in an actual fire.
A small book was in the bag and I tossed it in a fire pit of wood. Soon, the bag split in half, and everything inside was burned at the bottom.
The bag caught fire, along with the documents inside, and the document has since been destroyed.

Fire and heat are not a problem with it. The safest place for your documents to be is in this heatproof and waterproof bag. If there is a flood or fire one day at work, at home, or in the office, they will be protected from it and will be intact. There is more value in being cautious than you realize, it is better to be safe than sorry, it is safer to be safe than to have to wait in long lines just to get an important document again. As advertised, this product works well with a lighter. I used a lighter to try to ignite it and it worked I highly recommend this book.

Furthermore, dehumidifying crystals were sent to prevent documents from becoming damp. A very happy birthday person got a lot out of the combination of gifts and is using them well. To be honest, I can't tell how effective this product is as a fireproofing system, as my house has not burned down. Although the size is perfect for our purposes, it isn't large enough to be cumbersome. There is plenty of room to hold up to two comfortably-sized objects. The manila file folders were stuffed with important documents, a passport, and a USB thumb drive. We still haven't decided what to do with the smaller size that comes with it, but we'll figure something out.
