When I first received this product, I tested it personally to be sure it was what I wanted. Following are the findings that I made as I wanted to make sure I had my important documents protected during a fire. The flame did not burn through the paper, but it left a sooty burn mark that could not be removed. This is not an impervious material. This, however, proved to be a challenge. I then held the same flame to the black edge piping and it burst into flames within a second, causing it to completely melt I don't like it. This is not an impervious material. The resistance is not there. The edging is not made of the same grade of flame retardant as the rest of the furniture Material that contains a fire retardant. The resulting entry points for oxygen into the interior burn away instead, leaving no residue. In addition, oxygen is a fuel for fire.

It may offer momentary protection from flame, but don't expect it to hold up over time. In my mind, I thought I'd start with something a bit easier. The oven should be heated to 360 degrees for 15 minutes. The photos show what happened despite the low temperature, which is far lower than an actual fire. A bag like this will leave an obvious mess on anything not contained in it.
Apart from that, I find this bag to be pretty useless.
Safety deposit boxes are usually where we store these documents. The additional storage in this bag has eased my mind as my husband has been using several of these items more frequently lately, so it's very convenient to have them nearby. My husband has put the bag through its paces in order to determine its fire proofness however, the bag hasn't been exposed to a fire in my home so I do not know if it is 100% fire proof. It gives me a sense of security knowing these documents are backed up and secure.
I don't understand why or how they want a review on this product? I won't be able to advise on sturdiness or material quality until it has withstood an actual.
It has a lot of space, is durable, and very well made! Our important documents are well protected by this product. After I packed the bag with a few items, including some thick magazines, there was still room for other items. It is great that it has both a zipper and velcro to keep it.
