To open the safe, you'll require the key. The keypad allows the locking pins to be opened by turning the key.
You'll need both keys at that point, and I believe you'll need to replace the batteries once it's open, as it's likely the batteries are dead. In that case, you can use the USB cord.
Thank you for your interest in the safe; however, please note that this safe is not fire resistant.
It does make a beeping sound. However, for added security, I only use with the key lock. I don't think you'll be able to switch to silent mode. This, as well as a larger safe, are in my possession. I'd go with the larger size because you'll outgrow it anyway. A hidden bottom is also included in the larger safe. Very nice.

Wow, what a wonderful safe. It's sturdy, despite its diminutive size, and the digital button grid is of high quality. Money, two firearms, and jewelry all fit inside. br>br>This is my second Tiger King safe; the other is the older of the two brothers. I really like both of them. This safe is portable, which I like, and the security is excellent; I set up two codes in under a minute, and the instructions were well written. br>br>I can confidently say that I would buy more safes from them because I have faith in them. You did an excellent job, Tiger King. Keep up the good work!.
It does the job of keeping people from your house from accessing your belongings. That is all I have to say on the subject. If you misplace your keys, simply drop them off on the second floor, and I'll come out and get them for you.
Because the initial packaging was so good, I assumed the safe would be scratch-free. I had made a huge mistake. The bottom has a large paint chip (which I can live with because it's on the bottom), but the supposed secret key hole cover has a large dark brown paint stain. If there's a big stain on it that everyone can see, it kind of defeats the purpose of the hidden keyhole. Overall, it's nice; Tigerking was supposed to be the top of the line, so I went out of my way to get one in the hopes that none of these things would occur. For the money spent, it's a bit of a letdown.
Just to keep my nosy teenagers out of my stuff, it's good for the price. LoL.
The traditional copper color is one of my favorites. It does not include the 4AA batteries, which must be purchased separately. The digital display can also be powered by a USB battery pack. Set up is a breeze!.
This is my second TigerKing safe, and if I need another, I will definitely buy one. Aside from the reasonable price and features that are exactly as described by the manufacturer, the safe is very stylish, and the extra security keys and other features make me feel very comfortable leaving it out in the open for others to admire, unlike any other safe I've seen. I am VERY pleased, just as I was with my first Tiger King purchase. Aside from that, the packaging was fantastic. Before I opened it, I would have felt comfortable throwing it down three flights of stairs. Kudos.
I was so happy with my first one that I decided to try this smaller model, and I'm glad I did. It's a great small, lightweight safe for storing extra office keys, my sidearm, and small amounts of cash/checks at my small business during the day. I wouldn't use it for long-term storage because it isn't a heavyweight safe. It's not ideal for long-term safekeeping of valuables, but it'll suffice for light use. It's simple to program and use, just like my other TigerKing safes. My only gripe is that in order to open the safe, you must first enter a code and then use the key.
The TigerKing Safe is a solid and reliable safe. In a safe, this is exactly what I'm looking for.
