The safe is solid. The keypad entry and the physical key were necessary to open it. First, I thought I could just use the keypad, but it actually requires both. I like this safe because it has so many options for opening, with or without power, a battery backup case if the battery in the safe runs out, etc. I know I can get in here no matter what, as long as the physical latch is tight. This has been the case so far. Easy to set up and use, and the room looks good with it. The small locking compartment inside is nice, but it feels a little cheap, but that is not what I bought the safe for in the first place, I am very pleased with the product and it works well for the purpose I got it for.
There is only space for one video on my computer. The safe is, however, very dear to me. Despite my 4-star rating, the craftsmanship of the piece wasn't the best. And it was a little scratched and chipped here and there. However, I like the safe, and it does its job of keeping my belongings safe. This one seemed to be the best in terms of durability and safety. Despite the poor quality, I am satisfied. There doesn't seem to be any flimsiness to it. Safes by Sentry come with handles that flinch at the slightest touch, and they will flip over on you with no warning. There is a square knob on this that moves smoothly with no cheapo feel when unlocked. That the safe doesn't completely depend on its electronic pad is a plus for me. Should you need it, you can override it with a double key. In addition to the code you enter, you need the one key. Make sure not to keep them both on the same shelf! The fact that you can keep your code to eight digits or keep it to a minimum is also appealing to me. The minimum amount is not clear to me. I think it was worth the money spent.
The home safe I finally purchased is bigger and safer than our previous one, so I upgraded to it. A cinder block wall can be quickly and easily mounted. This is a great looking and easy to use app. Located right next to our office and has plenty of room for our documents. I even put items into fireproof bags when they are in binders with paper of standard size. This is a highly recommended book.
I'm very satisfied with it other than that.
