There was a lot of jogging involved. These were purchased for my husband and me to wear during the Ragnar relay race. 'Can you tell me what that is?' 'You inquire. ' Stupidity at its finest. Our late-night runs (yes, plural runs) necessitated the use of headlamps. The bright mode was useful for avoiding road kill and allowing me to keep scanning the ditch for zombies, serial killers, or more road kill. There was a lot of roadkill that I came across. It was crucial to use the bright mode in this case. It was also the ideal mode for carrying around a portable computer. Using the restroom. However, the longer we ran, the less interested you became in seeing what was inside! In the fog (we did run through dense fog), the dim mode was ideal. When it was bright enough to see, it kept the safety cops happy, but they still made us wear full gear. As you chatted with strangers in line for the port-a-potty, the light's tilt would almost go low enough to not blind people. It wasn't a big deal because they'd never see me again. I wore the headlamp over my stocking cap (yes, it was cold enough to run in a stocking cap!). It didn't budge in the least. The headband was comfortable (or I wasn't paying attention because the rest of my body was miserable). My headlamp lasted for about 5 hours on 4 legs, and it never got tired (unlike me and the friend I shared it with). It's as if it was riding on my head while I was putting in the long hours. It was of no use in that regard. I didn't get any faster or feel any less tired as a result of it - It did, however, brighten my mood. This is the headlamp for you if you want to shine brightly.

Every morning at 5 a. m. , I go for a street walk with my dog. There are no sidewalks or streetlights in this area. For much of the year, this means we go out in the dark and return home well before dawn. My old light is smaller and lighter, but it's worn out. The strap was flimsy to begin with and has since stretched out significantly. Moreover, the smaller light was not as bright. They're also very easy to misplace! Even at the lowest settings, this light is noticeably brighter. The position of the light can be adjusted to some extent; i. e. , tilting it up or down or pointing it straight out. Because traffic only sees a light, not the human beneath it, and drivers don't always recognize me as a lamp on a post, I prefer to wear the light around my neck, which illuminates my face. The strobe function can be seen as serving a purpose for that reason. When compared to a static light, a flashing light always attracts attention. Battery life was docked a star because the description stated that it would last two hours. 5 hours - set to the brightest setting - I know I got a lot more from my old light than that. A brighter light, of course, consumes more energy. In comparison to my previous one, it has lost a star for weight; it is large, bulky, and heavy. However, that comes at the cost of more power and more options (such as strobe and sensor options). I don't see the sensor option, but I'm not required to use it! In general, it appears to be a good value for money light.

They have a lot of cool features, such as: The strong high beam appeals to me, and it feels good on my head. It's easy to adjust the headband, and it's lightweight. The battery lasts about as long as it says it will and charges quickly. For the price, it has a lot of good features, but it has a few flaws that make it unsuitable for my needs. To begin with, the low beam remains highly focused and powerful, and it is largely redundant with the high beam. Despite the fact that it consumes less power than the high beam, it is still a power hog. It would be preferable if it had a broad, diffuse beam (approximately 20 lumens) that could be used for general camp chores, tent living, and reading. It would also save battery life. When I'm out in the woods at camp, I use this light on my current headlamp by far the most. Second, as the battery depletes, the beam becomes less usable due to the battery's gradual loss of strength in a fairly linear slope from full strength to depleted. Lithium batteries are typically near full capacity until they are depleted, which is far superior. br>br>While I continue my search for a rechargeable headlamp with the features I've described, I'll keep these headlamps and most likely give them to hiking partners. In the meantime, I'll continue to use my Black Diamond headlamp, which is much more expensive but technologically obsolete.

The directions are very specific about where you should go. I didn't get a LED indicator on either of the two headlamps I got. I sent an email to the company at the address listed in the directions. They stated that the lights were defective and that a replacement would be sent to me. They did send a replacement for one of the lights, but it was only for one of them. But it didn't matter because the replacement was also defective. I've included a photo of all three lights, which shows a hole in the spot where the indicator LED should be. Save your money and time by shopping around for a different brand.

The value of the two-pack is incredible. As you can see in the photo, I removed one of the straps and attached it to my bike helmet with Velcro. Even though I have a great headlight on my bike, I occasionally bike some really dark paths at night, and this allows me to look around and light up the surrounding area. The motion detector is an excellent addition. Instead of fumbling around for the button like I had to with previous lamps, I can simply wave my hand to turn it on or off. When approaching someone on the trail, this is critical because if I didn't turn off the light, it would completely blind them. I also save battery life by turning it on only when I need it. I can ride for hours without running out of battery, and if I do, I have a backup light (still attached to the strap). They arrived in attractive packaging, which ensured that they would be safe during transit. This purchase has made me extremely happy!.
