The compass does not meet my expectations.
Despite being ordered without one, the one I received did have Here is *br1 The product description should have mentioned it. It was of average quality, but was a nice touch, so it should have been noted. Note 2 Many different vendors are selling products similar to those found on amazon. We (they) cannot guarantee that the pouch you order will come with it. In any case, if it is from the same manufacturer (that actually built the compass), regardless of which supplier sends it to you, you should get the same product I

I believe it worked when I received it, so it would be great if the compass worked. The compass I lost from my Boy Scout days would have been nice to have back. The lucite compass had a circular transparent base and sat atop a rectangular clear lucite ring. You can plot your course on the map with this. You will get lost after walking ten miles from the road if you do this. Regardless of the fact that there is no guarantee or replacement policy, I am concerned because some of the liquid flew out when I tapped it a couple times to get it going. Despite the fact that it was greasy and smelt like kerosene, I hope it is not toxic. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine that for sure. I keep the pouch as it is by far the best part of I wanted to buy a good compass, but I had never seen this type before, so I ordered it to figure out if buying a good one would be worth it, but since it couldn't even point to north I wasn't sure whether it was worth it. In the end, I guess I will just always pay for quality instead of checking out a 5 dollar item to see if I like the design before you buy the 60 dollar one. The fluid looked like this

In an effort to fulfill her wish of having a compass like her father, I bought this one The look of the device suggests a military compass, but it does not actually work as one. There is a loose bezel ring and it never really holds together There is a flaw in the floating dial, which even on a level surface cannot balance out, it is almost impossible to read the bearing through the lens, and finally it seems to bind up easily and doesn't As a consequence, she is satisfied, it looks like her dad's real compass, and she has fun playing games that involve Using it as a compass is a bad idea. While the toy is fun for the kid to play Army with, it would have been much better if it had actually worked as a compass to help her learning the basics of something like that.
I searched for a compass that was under $10 for quite some time on Amazon, and this one ended up being the best among them. When I saw it was $5 with free shipping, I thought to myself, "why not?". There are many positives to be found here The following *br It appears that the compass' housing is sturdy enough to meet the needs of It is NOT a military grade compass, but it is better than one made out of plastic. There is a lot to dislike This product was made by Apple for $5, so it's obviously It seems like some of the plastic parts might break easily, but the price is so low that it should be worthwhile. A green leather case with a belt loop is included with the compass. This Is How It Looks It does not point north at all! After a while, I thought it was me, but when I placed the compass on a flat service, the north arrow points west? I tried it a few times, and it points in the wrong direction each time. It would be nice if there were a 'reset' button so that the flag could be pointed north. To prove to myself that I wasn't turned around, I used my Grandpa's "expensive" compass. In general, it is a great piece of equipment. There will be no special computerized compass that can point north for me I'll just use a regular compass.
A lensatic compass was something I used quite often at training sessions and occasionally in combat during my five years as an infantry officer. Compared to the standard issue military lensatic compass, this compass has most of the same functions, with the obvious exception that it cannot be used for nighttime navigation. Despite the fact that it does not yield accurate azimuth readings, it does give the user a reasonable level of precision. I was surprised by how light and flimsy the compass feels compared to the military compass, but if you compare the price, it's to be expected considering it is about 1/6 the cost. On the whole, it's a good device, but not a sturdy one. I wouldn't trust it to last very long in a field situation. It may be a good starter compass if you're looking for a toy compass for your kid who plays Soldier and wants to learn land navigation and orientation. The real deal is well worth the extra dollars, so invest in a piece of equipment that's capable of handling serious use.
I have a leak. I doubt that it will succeed.
I don't think of it as a lost cause. The item is damaged and I'm not sure if it should be fixed. Having been in awe of the U. S. for the past 20 years, I got this card. Despite my efforts to afford one, I was never able to obtain a military tritium lensatic compass. similar to the design of that compass, with the added ability to use it on a map, for landmarks, for orienteering, etc. It even comes with a cheap belt pouch not described, which is quite useful. Don't use one in any Survival Kit, camping, hunting, outdoor gear that may depend on your ability to find your way, or any serious camping, hunting, or outdoor gear where your safety may depend on it. Rather, use one to teach your kids introductory navigation.
I am always on the move when I'm camping and fishing. I like to wander off. It's important to me that I have one of these. Would have liked to have another as a gift but it would have been nice to have some basic orienteering instructions included. Should I get a book to give away, I'll need to pick up a book too. I've updated the app to reflect that it's not very accurate or of the highest quality. If you need to traverse difficult terrain or have miles to go, you'll have a problem getting there. You'll get to the main area and you'll get a basic map, assuming that the sun or stars aren't able to give you a basic map. If you are going to spend money on something, it would probably be a good idea to invest in something that is built well,.
In my mind, it should be cheap and easy to use. There's nothing good about it. Wow! I thought it would be cheap and last a year, but it hasn't even been a week! *This was a gift I bought for my five-year-old We are too old to start him learning navigation, and the engineer's compass I learned to use as a child is worn out. The new one is not much of a problem if it gets lost or broken. Well, IF IT HAD A STATUS INDEX LINE, then it would be ok for this job. You won't find any static index line, folks! Without a static index line for reference, ninety-nine percent of the features you might find in a lensatic compass will be useless. You may want to look In this case, I think I paid $5 for this with free shipping, and it's barely worth that when you don't include the index. Josh Smith- We are sight.
