Battery replacement is not possible without changing the battery. I would expect the battery to last roughly 20 minutes. Usually I use this device to drain hot water heaters of 40 gallons
As the dirt will score the inside of the housing, I would limit its amount. There is a flexible impeller pump made by Zuwa that can handle fairly large solids, I believe it is made in Germany.
Since the rubber impeller and lack of warranty make it impossible for me to pump chemicals with this pump. My pump has run through antifreeze without any issues so far, although after running it through clean water for about three minutes, I rinse it.

I've been very happy with how things have been so far.
You'll have to make sure the hoses are tightened up tight or else your pump will not work properly. There is a slot for a 9AH battery, which surprises me. My favorite thing about it is that it can pump out a water heater in no time. It does make some noise, however. In order to move in a new heater, I'll need to get an old heater pumped out or I'll need to pump out a meter pit or sump pit first. This is not intended to be used for sewage, but rather for My gray water is treated with this product, and it is then flushed with clean water.
I am very pleased with this pump and it surpassed It took a little while to learn how to use the pump in its ideal that the battery seems to last longer and the pump does not work as hard for what I use it for. For what I use it for, a 25 to 50 ft garden hose works nicely. An electric battery will last for about 30 mins, which is about 220 gals or four 55 gal drums using a 5ah battery. As far as I can tell, it's not a very noisy pump. Since the rubber type impeller is not for oil or gas, it probably wouldn't be the best pump for a fluid like that, but for a fluid like water or antifreeze it should work.
Even while using cold oil, it is surprising.
There is no need to go into the boat with this pump since it gets every last bit of water out. In order to hold the intake hose straight down into the water, we attached a sturdy plastic rod to it with duct tape. In order for the discharge hose to be aimed in the lake, we positioned the pump on the pier. My putsy bailing job was made much easier with this pump since it made the job go very quickly. A great bait to use if you're having a boat moored at.
Nevertheless, this pump did not work. There is no longer any use for the light and it doesn't even turn on.
A 0 battery fits like a glove and is still on full charge after about 5 minutes of use. I should be able to drain quite a few water heaters before I need to recharge the I don't think it bothers me or my customer for now, although it's a little loud.
This pump is my favorite among all of my Milwaukee tools since I do HVAC, boilers, and water heaters. I have about a dozen Milwaukee tools, but.
