I will be using this valve with an ejector pump, Lumnie. If you are using this for sewage, you probably need a reducer for the discharge pipe. This check valve is intended for 1-inch diameter pipes. My pump is located about 3 feet from the head of my quiet pump, and it works quietly It is very important that the hose clamps both top and bottom are firmly tightened. An electric drill with a socket fitted to it was used to click it in place.
I would raise the hinge so the flapper can work with gravity by itself. This does not mean that's what the manufacturer says.

It occurred to me that maybe the old check-in system might still work As I mentioned, the valve was bad and I replaced it at the beginning of October, 2019. My previous valve was quieter than this one, so I was not pleased with the overall level of noise. It was nice to have a valve in a clear tube so I could see that it was actually functioning. The sump pump was making a loud noise when I woke up, Jan 19th, 2020. I discovered an issue with the pump when I inspected the valve flap. It had broken apart from the valve and was floating in In the case of the free floating flap, it prevented the flow of excess water and blocked the exit pipe. It was the new sump pump that was being overloaded, resulting in the loud noise. You can see where the unit failed in the photos. As a critical and expensive piece of equipment, a sump pump is a vital part of everyday life. I think it would be a pity to burn it out over Check-in at 0000 Valve that fails 3 months after installation.
There was very little noise. I was deciding between this one and the campbell quiet check valve, just like you who are reading this review. My old check valves always produced loud hammering noises from the water hammering. I have never been able to figure out how to get rid of them. Amazon described this check valve as having a 'patented design' which intrigued me, but I was My order arrived faster than promised, and I installed it as soon as it arrived. The whole thing amazed me! I find it difficult to believe how simple this design is, yet Water flowing through the pipes are the only sounds I can hear coming from the sump. I highly recommend this Silent Checkvalve if you are also annoyed by the loud thumping coming from your check valve. In case I need a backup, I will purchase a second one.
Throughout the 31 years since I added my sump pump, the check valve has been banging away! This silent check valve did not exist to me until my friend suggested I get it and now that I have it, I don't think I could live without it. I have been hearing my pump turning on every 5 minutes this spring because of all the rain we've been getting. As a result of its "silent" characteristics, I bought it. Upon checking that the sump pump was working (and it was), I am able to attest to how quiet it is. For the price of silence, this purchase is well worth the money.
Since I've lived here 15 years, I have enjoyed living here. Since the sump pump has been running for a long time, the hammering noise has become more and more loud. There came a point when I was done. In view of the fact that it was time for a new check valve, I searched at Amazon for one. Sump pump check valves for silent sump pumps are a thing I didn't even know existed. This book was highly rated, so I decided to buy My original copy was exactly the same size as the new copy, and I received it within a short timeframe. Recently, there has been a lot of rain and the sump pump has been running constantly. currently sitting in a quiet house and, although I can hear the humming sound of the sump pump, the sound has pretty much disappeared. Every time I turn around, I expect to hear the awful hammering noise that I've heard for so long and there isn't anything Seeing this has put a smile on my face and I am certain it will do the same for those of you who have endured that noise.
I am amazed! I am blown away! There is no sound from this check valve at all. My sump pump is the main one, and my backup pump is the back up. On each of them I had a "klunkless" check valve. He had a different brand and a different look from the one he had before -- This product was black with a cylindrical side chamber pointing upwards, claiming to be "klunkless. " However, it was actually not. With these made by Raybend I replaced both those check valves and no "klunk" has been heard since. A lot of noise is not generated by this device. I love the product because it performs just like what is advertised, and it is easy to install with very clear directions that include measurements. It's a great silent check valve that I highly recommend. I really like it.
