Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
One G1/2 Female Inlet (water inlet) and two G1/2 Male Outlets (water outlet) are included in this shower diverter valve.
:Made of one-piece solid metal brass construction, this brass shower head diverter valve is wear-resistant, high-temp resistant, and pressure-resistant, with premium quality metal material for longevity and durability. Designed with a large water channel that is free of restrictors and water restrictions.
:This brushed shower head diverter is a three-way shower valve that attaches to the shower arm and allows you to easily switch between a handheld shower and a fixed spray head. Can control water discharge from both outlets at the same time, but each outlet's water flow is halved, and your water pressure is a factor.
This shower hose diverter features a brass swivel nut for easy installation and angle adjustment. To switch from a hand shower to a fixed shower head, a sturdy metal handle lever turns smoothly and steadily.
:Made of premium and noble brushed nickel, this brushed nickel shower diverter resists corrosion and abrasion, pairs well with other fixtures, and adds style to your bathroom.

Questions & Answers

Is there a flow regulator on it, and if so, how do you remove it?

It doesn't appear to have a flow restrictor or any other removable flow control. Water is diverted through two holes in the side port, each measuring approximately 5mm in diameter. These holes most likely reduce flow through the side port, but not significantly in my shower (I don't have a lot of flow to begin with). The valve's design prevents you from seeing through it (even in the forward direction), so water flows around the diverter mechanism for either port, posing a restriction that I can't quantify. I have the impression that my shower head is operating at full capacity.

What should I buy if I need to use a single shower head at times but also need to run two shower heads at other times?

It's not a shut-off valve, but rather a one-at-a-time switch. Depending on where you put the valve, water will flow to either shower head. One shower head will be turned off, while the other will continue to run.

Is it possible to use this device in reverse? A male water inlet is required for my project. ?

The valve, in my opinion, can be used in either direction of water flow.

This diverter can be found attached. Swivels the female inlet. How can I keep it from swiveling so that my showerhead and handheld don't swivel as well?

It must be tight enough to stop the swivel and seal the water inside, or else water will leak out. All you have to do now is tighten the nut.

There isn't a Slow Flow Woe to be found
5/5

We are fortunate to have access to a municipal water system with high pressure. So it came as a shock to me when my 20-year-old daughter told me she was pregnant. year- The old shower diverter had literally split a seam, so I replaced it with one from the hardware store, which reduced pressure by at least 30%, if not more. I ended up Amazon-ing that one after tossing it. ing this "Mingor" device and, in keeping with the good things/small packages theme, was taken aback when the teeny but hefty package arrived, pointing out to my ever-present "Mingor" device. This was a small diverter, which perplexed my wife. When I first opened the box, I was blown away by how well the little devil was built, as if it were a critical hydraulic routing valve in an F-150. 35 pound fighter However, I was surprised to see two small holes in each of the routing apertures, assuming they could never generate a strong water flow. I had made a mistake for the first time since 1979. I was ecstatic to discover that the water flow was at least as strong as before, if not slightly better, after connecting the device to the shower pipe and turning it on. I remembered from high school physics class that the small apertures take advantage of the "Venturi effect," though how Ken Venturi could have taken time away from his golfing career to invent this phenomenon has always perplexed me. Whether or not we can thank old Ken for this outpouring of joy, rest assured that this is a delightful diversion that you should seriously consider if, like me, you feel compelled to go with the strongest possible flow.

This is an excellent piece of equipment
5/5

It's solid and well-made. The action of the lever is silky smooth. I was initially concerned when I saw the small hole through which the water passes because it is nowhere near the full diameter of the fitting, but it does not appear to restrict waterflow. I timed the flow of water straight from the pipe into a bucket before mounting the shower head, and the amounts were the same with and without this valve. If there was any reduction, I would have returned it in a heartbeat because my entire shower setup is designed (er, hacked) to allow for full flow.

The quality is poor

Okay, so it went from leaking a little to leaking a lot on its own. The swivel nut of this unit is the only source of leakage in my project. This is something you should avoid at all costs. br>It was finally returned to me. I replaced it with one that did not have the swivel nut and it works perfectly. After purchasing a replacement, I discovered that the threads in this unit are far too short. This is something you should avoid at all costs. br>I'm probably going to keep this valve, but I'm not sure, because I don't want to go through the trouble of installing another one. I have a minor leak in the shower head outlet (1 drop every 15 seconds), but I'm not going to worry about it. br>The threads are brief, to say the least. The rubber washer is required at the swivel nut; otherwise, no matter what you do, it will leak. No washers are required with a good thread. Washers are for products that are poorly made or that are easy to remove or that need to be removed frequently. The issue with the washer is that if you continue to tighten it, it will collapse and restrict the flow, just like any other washer. It's just a waste of time. This valve was designed to be used as a non-adjustable, hard-tightening valve, but you cannot do so with it. Installing this valve requires a fair amount of skill. I don't have any issues, but not everyone is as fortunate as I am. Be aware that this is not as simple to set up as it appears. br>It's also worth noting that this valve has plastic or ceramic parts inside, which means that every time you switch your valve, you're moving plastic or ceramic, as shown in my photo.

There were no leaks, the quality was excellent, and there was no plastic involved

This item was purchased so that I could add a handheld shower wand to my parents' existing shower head. It's a fantastic product. I am a 58-year-old woman who has never worked in the plumbing industry. I watched a few videos and felt confident that I could do it myself by the time the diverted arrived. I was able to set it up in less than 10 minutes and without any issues. The diverted is a well-made, sturdy, and heavy piece of equipment. To prevent leaks, I suspected I'd need to add more Teflon tape or rubber washers. That wasn't the case at all. IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. At the same time, I installed the Amazon-purchased Handheld shower wand, which was sturdy, heavy, and well-made. Neither item has a leak. Anyone can do it if I was able to do it on my own with no assistance. I'm confident that the high quality of the products contributed to the ease with which they were installed. Extra rubber washers were also included in case a minor leak occurred during the removal and reinstallation of an extremely old shower head. To be safe, I used the extra washers. Before you apply the new Teflon tape, make sure you remove any old Teflon tape. The restrictor on my parents' old shower head was also removed. They claimed that their old showerhead, which had been without pressure for the past two decades, nearly knocked them down. It was a hit with them. While looking into shower heads, I came across the restrictor. There are numerous videos available that demonstrate how to do so. It takes about 5 seconds to complete the process. I highly recommend this product; I was so pleased with the diverter and handheld shower wand I bought for my parents that I bought them for myself five days later.

I almost gave up on this because of issues with the female threads leaking, and I'm glad I didn't because it's a really nice-looking product
4/5

I was about to return it to the store when I decided to give it one more chance. The shower arm was removed, and the threads were filed down. The filing gave the threads' ends a wider flat, allowing for more contact surface for a seal. I also used a stone to polish the surface face because, hey, I'm that kind of guy, right? I used a washer from Home Depot to replace the diverter's washer, and I didn't use any teflon tape. It worked, which I'm glad for because this is a really nice-looking product. So everything is fine in our shower, and the wife still doesn't understand what a fluid-based system is. I am a flow genius. br>br>I hope this information is useful to someone else. If it had worked right out of the box, it would have received five stars. However, if it had worked the first time, I would not have had the adventure and trip to Home Depot. Excelsior!.
