First and foremost, this is only a trim plate, not a valve. The cartridge is hidden behind the trim plate on the inside of the valve. Pull the cartridge out carefully to avoid breaking or snapping the supply lines. A serial number will be printed on the cartridge. Best of luck!

Our contractor installed it and said it is a very well made product because of its appearance and functionality.
Torx bits and tools are required for installation, but this is a non-essential item. Anyone with a computer should be able to solve this. Installation time was 8 minutes, including cleaning under the old trim. It has a nice brushed nickel finish that goes well with the other Moen and Koehler fixtures that have been installed. It looks fantastic. It is suitable for posi- Only the temperature valves are used.
Kit for a Temp Shower Valve. If you have a positive attitude, this kit is perfect for you. shower valve with temperature control I wanted a nickel finish with a metal handle to replace all of my old shower fixtures. This was a perfect fit, and it looks/feels a million times better than the plastic handle it replaced. I don't believe it's mentioned anywhere, but you'll need a T15 and T25 Torx driver to use the screws included in the kit, as shown in my photos. br>br>Before installing this kit, I purchased a Danco Universal Trim Kit for Moen (the only option at the big box store near my home), which was a complete waste of time because the metal handle wobbled like crazy and required me to cut a larger opening in my tile wall to fit. Needless to say, you'll be much better off if you purchase this Genuine Moen product from Amazon! This kit's handle is as solid as you'd expect, and the two-day prime shipping at this price was even better!.
My client adores the new handle, as well as the all-encompassing design. Torx tools are required to install this metal product (which is not mentioned in the description).
The brushed nickel was too dark and didn't go with the shower head at all, so I returned it. And it has a decidedly commercial feel to it. For a home shower, I wanted something a little more.
It's the genuine article. In a genuine Moen box, you'll find genuine metal components. a good deal.
I liked the look, but there was no installation hardware included. As a result, I gave it back to them. It reminded me of nightmares I've had at IKEA! Lol.
I couldn't tell it was a "used" part because it came with all of the original parts. As a replacement knob for my old shower, it worked perfectly.
