Questions & Answers
This was installed in a shower installed by Bath Fitters. I was having the same problem, so I contacted them to have them come out and assess the situation. Because it was going from a tub/shower combo to a full shower stall, he mentioned shortening the pipe. I was concerned that he hadn't completed the task and that it still needed to be cut down. When he returned to examine it, he stated that the way we had installed it was perfect. It looks strange, but it's been in our shower for almost four years and hasn't caused any issues. br>I hope this information is useful!

This product didn t deliver the owner experience expected from a premium brand. I replaced ALL fixtures in two bathrooms with 100% Moen, expecting that the additional cost would pay off br>br>This isn't the case. br>br>On both Amazon and Moen's websites, every picture of the handle shows it flush against the plate. That is not the case. Not by a long shot. Yes, I am in possession of the exact Moen Posi-Moen Posi-Moen Posi-Moen A temperature valve is required, but it will not fit. The handle protrudes by about 3/4 inch. The handle wobbles, not only because it looks bad and exposes the stem. It's impossible to get this handle any tighter, more secure, or any closer to the plate than it already is. As a result, I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong. Even down to looking up the specifications on the Moen website and double-checking that everything was in order. It simply does not fit in the way that any thoughtful and reasonable person would expect. br>br>So I called Moen for advice on how to solve the problem. They do not accept phone calls. I was immediately transferred to voicemail and told that someone would contact me. Is it okay if I type in a time when I'm free? "Not available," the voice said. "Someone can call you on Wednesday at 11:11 a. m. " I said I did and entered a time. Okay? "All right," I replied. The call was ended after the time was repeated. br>br>Now, keep in mind that the U. S. Six time zones make up the letter S. Did they say which one I'd be on? They didn't do it. br>br>So I waited for the entire morning two days later. And, as you might expect, the phone never rang. br>br>A premium product at a premium price, with no quality control or expectation that the design makes sense or matches the photographs. And no support. br>br>And with that, my Moen story comes to an end.
This handle does not sit flat on the plate, according to other reviewers. It had been installed by a plumber previously, and it appeared to be far out and shaky. When I dismantled it, I discovered that he had installed some components incorrectly. I went out and bought a new valve in case the old one was defective. That was not the case. The odd wobbly fit is the same as before. I've just used it without the two plastic pieces that fell out, but I'm not sure how good it is for the stem. br>br>As a result, I've spent money on two handles, labor, and I still don't have a working handle. br>br>No one has mentioned that the handle does not have a Hot or Cold indicator. It would be great if the plate included those indicators. I don't think I'll be able to put labels on it as it is. That's yet another flaw in the design. br>br>This is the third Moen product that has been found to be defective. designed. The second item was a two-tiered towel rack. I thought getting two for one would be great, but getting the inside towel out without ripping the other towel off is impossible. It's also angled down, making it difficult to stack items on top. As a result, it's all a waste of time. br>br>I was under the impression that Moen was a high-end manufacturer. not only at the top, but also at the bottom. priced.
The color of this item is not brushed nickel. It has gold undertones and contrasts with the rest of my bathroom's brushed nickel hardware. Furthermore, the sealant strip behind the circle with knob (clearly I don't know the proper turn) was applied all wrong, to the point where I doubt it would even make a good seal. Put together in a shabby manner.
The metal "sleeve" that the knob slips over had to be cut and shortened by the handyman installing it. It was not an easy task (as zaw saw). As a result, the shower's handle protrudes. Smudges are also a problem.
Although the trim appears to be attractive, it is difficult to install. In fact, our plumber was unable to install the shower arm because the threading was incorrect. As a result, we had to go to a local store and buy one off the shelf. We couldn't get the handle close to the plate, as other reviewers have mentioned. It appears to be a little strange, but it will suffice for the time being. This is something I would never buy online again.
I bought them "used as if I knew what I was doing. " They weren't in their original packaging, but they were still in excellent condition. The price is excellent, and the quality is excellent. This item was ideal for me because I didn't want the one-function showerhead that came with the Branford set. I got a multi-pack of cigarettes. Showerhead with separate functions. To update Moen fixtures, it's simple to do so. It is not necessary to install plumbing.
This isn't a brushed nickle, so don't expect it to look like one. It's a dreadful yellow with a lot of water spots on it. I bought it a long time before we put it up, and by the time we did, we were past the return window. It's functional, but it's not in keeping with the rest of the room's nickle finish. It is necessary to replace it:.
One thing to keep in mind is that it starts with the hot water coming out first, which is fine at first but takes some getting used to. Now that I'm used to it, I like it and believe it helps to reduce the risk of scalding because there's always been a tendency to turn the faucet on full blast to get the hot water to the tube or shower faster.
