The only disadvantage, as others have pointed out, is that when it's brand new, moving the temperature control valve may also turn the water pressure handle, requiring two hands. The gaskets on the unit we bought had dried out from being stored for a long time. Delta, at the very least, explained it this way. There is no need to be concerned. Replacement parts were provided free of charge by Delta Support. Their warranty is "lifetime," and Delta has been extremely responsive and accommodating to us. Although the replacement parts did not come with instructions, a call to Delta resulted in online video assistance. Delta refused to give up even then. Delta stayed on the line with me until I finished replacing the parts. br>br>In comparison to the Amazon photo, I believe our unit appears to be more solid and luxurious. I liked how the valve felt and controlled after the gaskets were replaced. I'm also relieved to know that the parts I'll need to keep it running are free (under warranty), inexpensive (if I don't want to call Delta), and fairly generic. The majority of Delta faucets can be repaired with a single replacement part.

This faucet is fantastic. The design is elegant, and the function is flawless; because the temperature setting remains constant, you can turn it on and it will return to the previous shower's temperature. When you change the temperature setting, the big handle (water flow) will move with it if you don't change it very often. It's not a major issue. I just move the temperature control back and forth every now and then to loosen it up, and that solves the problem. I believe that as it is used more, that issue will be resolved. This is a product that I would purchase again. However, Amazon initially sent me the incorrect one, which had been clearly opened. There were some components that were missing. To Amazon's credit, they promptly dispatched a replacement (which was correct), which arrived in two days. It was simple to return the first one. Update 1/21/2016: After a few weeks of use, the temperature control loosened up as expected, and it no longer moves the flow control at the same time. I highly recommend this faucet.

This was part of a larger Casiddy bathroom set that I purchased. It was installed by my plumber, and it began to leak almost immediately. When I called Delta, they confirmed that the cartridge that came with the unit had a crack in it. The small leak had grown into a full-fledged water blast out of the wall by this point. I called Delta again, and they said they couldn't help me and that they had ordered a new cartridge, which would arrive in 15 days, while water was gushing out of the wall. My only options are to either buy a new cartridge locally (good luck, as this is a custom cartridge that no one carries in stock) or turn off the water to my entire house while I wait for a new shipment from Amazon. br>br>Team Delta - I'm extremely disappointed in you. I purchased this product because of your brand and "quality," and this is what I received. My water was turned off for an entire day while I waited for a replacement cartridge to arrive. You should be ashamed of yourself!.

This trim and cartridge set looks great and works well. There will be no more scalding water! Along with the valve body, it was fairly simple to install. The installation instructions are written in a clear and concise manner. simple to understand and follow.

I had installed the bronse shower handle a few years ago, and this is the same shower handle with a different finish. I must confess that I had to read the instructions twice. Some of the internal components are made of plastic, which can break easily during installation. It comes together fairly quickly if you take your time and don't rush anything.
