I bought this because it was the cheapest shower shutoff I could find on Amazon, and I didn't have high expectations. When the box arrived, I was surprised by its weight, and the finish impressed me when I opened it. The finish is lovely, and it goes perfectly with my brushed nickel shower head. The valve is extremely heavy for its size, weighing nearly twice as much as the previous valve, which had served me well for seven years. It was a wise decision to purchase this item. One thing to keep in mind is that this valve completely shuts off the water supply. It's possible that this is exactly what you're looking for, but it's also possible that it isn't. When I turn on the water in my shower after turning it off completely, I am greeted with a blast of scalding water. As a result, if I'm using the valve while showering, I have to be careful not to turn off the water completely. If I'm using it to turn off the water for another reason, I want it completely turned off. This valve allows me to choose between the two options.

This was the cheapest flow control valve with the fewest reviews at the time of this review. With a basic understanding of water valves, I can say that this one appears to be of high quality. It makes use of a fairly common mechanism (found mostly in sink faucets with two handles, one for hot and the other for cold). It's a ceramic mechanism that's been proven to work for decades and last for a long time. br>br>In addition, when it finally fails, it does not completely stop the water flow, allowing a trickle of water to pass through. In my case, I won't mind it at alk because my goal is to slow down but not completely stop the flow of water. In any case, the high quality of this piece should ensure that it continues to function flawlessly for many years.

Sorry, Earth, but whenever I buy a new portable showerhead, the first thing I do is rip out the water restriction devices. Instead, I use this device to restrict water flow as needed while showering, so that I can rinse off with a nice big strong burst of water while lathering with a trickle. I believe this method is more efficient in terms of water conservation, and my showers are shorter and more enjoyable as a result.

Thank you very much. This was the third time I'd been shut down. The only valve I tried that worked was the off valve. Exceptional quality. It gets the job done. How can other companies claim to be "shut-ins"? off valves if they don't completely shut off the water supply?.

The only suggestion I have is to make sure you have some teflon tape on hand, as the amount provided is limited. I would order this again if the need arose.

The showerhead was too small for it. Other things might connect, but this one does not. The threads will not turn because the diameter is slightly too large.
