Questions & Answers

What type of toilet seats can be cleaned with it, soft or hard?

I have a wooden toilet seat, and it doesn't work. Despite the nut being too small to fit our seat, we have to use longer bolts.

Is anyone familiar with the size of this screw?

Something similar to these I have purchased. I am not certain if they are the same, but they look quite similar to me. The two I have are 2 In terms of the spiral area, it is 3/8" long and 1/4" wide, while the screw head tapers up to 1/2" wide at its broadest point. Use it with a toilet seat because it's the perfect length.

Can you tell me how long these bolts are Does the toilet seat have to be raised on this set of legs?

The size of the earrings is 2 1/4 inches long, hey Stuart. That was a long post. I hope you'll forgive me. Bori's *br>

The Ginsey silver wood round toilet seat is made of wood. Does this kit work on that toilet ?

It is a pleasure to speak with you about The universal toilet seat hinge bolts do allow for easy replacement of most toilet seats without the need for an entire toilet seat.

It was these bolts that stood up to the job, not the nylon bolts that came with my two new toilets! It turned out that the nylon bolts that came with my two new toilets wouldn't hold up
4/5

Two of the five pairs failed during installation, one within a year of installation, the other within a decade of installation. The two pairs of bolts I purchased are of quality and I am pleased with both the price and the product. I used the nylon washer provided on the underside of the toilet (in front of the nut), but needed another washer on the top to keep it To make the kit more versatile, they should add a couple of nylon washers in different diameters so it may be used on more types of seats. I would certainly purchase these again though if necessary.

Don't let your seat be taken away from you
5/5

My butt was always making me do the twist when I plopped my butt on the pot because that damn seat made me stand up. Regardless of how tightly the plastic bolts are tightened, they remain unmovable. It might have been the force of my seating myself, coupled with a disproportionately large, but not overly unsightly heinie that put me under stress if I sat in a sideways motion and not exactly over the 'target hole. I installed the metal bolts, and now I have no problems with the seat, and it is so securely attached to the bowl that it's as if it is glued in place. Here's what you need to do if you have the same problem. The bolts are made of metal and can be tightened.

If you need a more durable alternative than plastic, these will work better
5/5

At the time, the toilet seat that was installed in my old apartment was hinged with plastic. Whenever someone sat on it, the seat would shift to the left, so they would break. The bathroom floor was uneven, so the seat would shift to the left. In the end, I decided to purchase the metal ones after exhausting so many of the plastic I was able to resolve my issue this way! Due to the fact that they are inexpensive and seem to wear well, I'll be buying them again if I need to.

The plastic ones that brake so easily seemed to hold the seat in place much better than the ones I thought would hold the seat in place
3/5

The fact that they are not plastic led me to believe they were these. While I expected they would be able to hold the seat more securely than the plastic ones that chip so easily, the seat still slides and it's not the best hold, but gratefully it slides less than when the plastic was used. Whatever way you choose to do it, it's fine. That's so sad.

I received a thank you note from my cat
5/5

It seems that my cat has the habit of flinging himself through the house like Superman. Landing on the soft toilet seat is one of her favorite things to do in the bathroom. At least four of the plastic bolts that were included with the seat were broken, so I ordered these and now she can land and take off without breaking the landing pad.

There is nothing I dislike more than the plastic bolts that come with toilet seats
5/5

They are much better than the plastic bolts toilet seats come with, and hold the seat in place quite well. It will no longer be necessary to constantly tighten.

I like these nuts and bolts a lot
4/5

Interestingly, I only needed to replace the washers and nuts, as the plastic ones wear out over time and I needed to reinstall them on the As the seat has metal hinges and the screws it came with thread into them, I cannot use the bolts from this set, just the washers and nuts. The screws slipped right on, tightened up nicely, and I will probably buy another set in six The plastic pieces wear out more easily than the metal ones, so I need to find an SKU on Amazon or elsewhere that just sells the plastic pieces.

Not only do these fit wood toilet seats, but regular and soft toilet seats as well
5/5

Not only do these fit wood toilet seats, but also regular and soft toilet I really like them. They are sturdy and last much longer than the cheap plastic ones. The update is In addition to recommending these screws over the cheaper plastic parts that come with toilet seat replacements, I also think they are better for the environment. The screws will, however, loosen up over time, just as they did with the plastic ones. The straps must be tightened from time to time to prevent the seat from becoming unstable and starting to rock and slide. am not sure how to prevent this from happening, but from my experience, this is what will cause the plastic bolts/screws to come off and break in the past. At least you do not have to worry about that happening with Even with the bolts intact, with enough force you can still break the seat if it's unstable, even if it's rocking off center just a little bit. Your seat could crack or even snap if the bolts are weakened. If it is repeatedly slid, it will most likely snap the hinge as fatigue will set in to the hinge where it is most vulnerable. The plastic hinges (which most have) make the doors more difficult to open. If the problem gets bad enough, they could be the only thing that supports the weight as the seat is put down. That kind of repeated stress or torque isn't designed into the hinges, which is why someone might easily fall to the floor in the most compromising state (potentially leading to a most embarrassing situation). A toilet seat falling off could cause you to break your hip. Calling 911 would be a nightmare - You can imagine how entertaining this will be to the hard-working medical personnel who will be helping you-________ During your time waiting to be rescued imagine how much entertaining this will be to them---- Imagining that you broke your hip, was stuck on the floor, and had to wait for medics after you had just been in the bathroom- it's hard to fathom how you could heal! I'm glad to hear that! As a result of an urgent call from It will seem like an eternity even if you only have 15 minutes As for your modesty (let alone your dignity) - and if you can manage to hold it long enough for anyone to help - you are in for a challenge. You might even want to ask if they are willing to risk breaking your Is relief spelled in any particular way? As you can see, the point is made.

That's a pretty good reason to keep those bolts tight, huh? Do you have a valid reason to ensure those bolts are not damaged? Although I bet you that even if you fall victim to the worst case scenario, these bolts will outlast your toilet seat. I bet your toilet is one of them. It is unlikely that these bolts will break under normal circumstances. It would be unlikely that they would break even if you left them loose and wobbly. It is a solid, heavy duty product- The screws are easy to install and It is well worth the nominal cost.

Anyone know what to do to prevent these bolts or screws from loosening up over time?.
